Aloe and Bay Tree for ALL your OCs <3
soul aloe : how does your muse handle grief ? bay tree : does your muse seek glory & accolades , or do they favour a simpler , more personal life ?
botanical headcanons (accepting)
Aloe: Denial. He still hasn't moved on from the major loses in his life, and they still weigh heavily on him. He is also a skeptic who doesn't find comfort in the idea of an afterlife, so he's left with only a strong fear of loss that stops him from actively seeking bonds and intimacy.
Bay tree: Glory, of course. He’s already lived twenty-something long, long years of comfort and simplicity, and hated at least half of it. He wants his name to be remembered, whispered by strangers whenever he walks into a room. The thing is, he's still young, and hasn't entirely figured out how he intends to do that.
Aloe: They honor the dead and move on. They believe in an afterlife, and would only mourn if someone's death was caused by illness or an accident, meaning they didn't even had the chance to die in a fight. That doesn't mean they would just accept their loved ones being killed, and would probably seek revenge.
Bay tree: They're always open to recruiting new followers for Loki. They don't want the glory for themselves, but rather for their cause and ideals — chaos, that is. Whoever has a knack for causing mischief, or just a general desire to stir the status quo is a good candidate.
Aloe: Too quietly for her own good. Enid has known loss before, as some acolytes in her temple had died from old age before, but seeing her whole family die right before her eyes changed her idea of death drastically. She becomes frustrated and angry at herself for not being able to heal or protect her loved ones. She's often too hard on herself.
Bay tree: She has lived a quiet life for a long time, and though she’s convinced that’s what she wants to achieve, she’s been given a taste of adventure and secretly still craves more. The world is full of secrets and wonders, and it would be a shame not to make the most out of them.
🍀 and 🚓 for gunna
I believe this came from here
[ 🍀 ] does your muse believe in luck? do they have a good luck charm or rituals they follow to avoid bad luck?
She doesn't believe in luck as much as she believes in her patron's will and his constant gaze upon her. Which might not be truly constant, and she knows it, but she's not risking it.
Whenever a fight or a prank goes wrong, Gunna is quick to think that's just Loki messing with her, and doesn't take it to heart, even embraces it, looks for the fun or the lesson in it. But if the bad luck continues, she grows uneasy and starts to fear she might have offended Loki somehow, and would make offerings (through actions and mischief rather prayers or material things) to regain his favor.
[ 🚓 ] would your muse break the law?
Absolutely, at every chance she gets.
// good morning. fallahan is the kind of person that would drink espresso in public to seem fancy and latte in private because he actually prefers mild or sweet flavors. sirius runs on espresso exclusively and is definitely addicted. enid would take hers white as a paper sheet, but wouldn't be able to face the day without that fine layer of caffeine at the bottom of her cup. gunna has a little pomegranate juice for breakfast everyday, and jokes about drinking blood everyday. mao drinks tea but would occasionally pour a little liquor in it. kai takes their coffee black, sometimes adulterated by their own sister
// For someone with +4 CHA, Gunna surely lacks all the skills necessary for effective social interaction.
// You'd expect Gunna to be a goth lesbian, but I can tell you she's 100% a hawaiian shirt lesbian
// A few things about Gunna because I love her so much even though I even played her at a table for two sessions:
She's very much designed after Smite's version of Loki.
Her favorite use for her hat (handkerchief) of disguise is turning into other people to mock them. She hardly ever uses it for actual infiltration because she's just?? good enough at hiding and would rather lie or pretend for fun than for useful purposes.
Her mom was a shadow sorcerer, so she got the shadow-touched feat. That's where she got Inflict Wounds from. Also why she's oddly cold to the touch all the time.
She carries an ordinary sword on her left hip, but she's actually left-handed. This is her off-hand sword, while her pact weapon will usually be summoned on her left hand. It's all about the element of surprise, and theatrics.
In her party there was this one guy who believed himself to be Baldr reincarnated, who sought contact with Loki to forgive him for causing his death, and Gunna bullied the hell out of him. Eventually (because the final fight happened inside of a temple to Loki specifically) they all learned about her patron, but it was pretty fun to have them wondering why she kept bugging our bard specifically.
Also, during this final fight the dice played simultaneously against me and in my narrative's favor because I didn't land a single blow with my pact/main weapon. So overall I did a laughable amount of damage for a rogue. At first Gunna was laughing and having a great time because that obviously was her patron playing tricks on her. Then, after being close to dying a couple times, she started to feel frustrated, even betrayed. Like, she ADORES her patron. And though she's never had an actual exchange with him, she likes to think she's an exemplary follower.
So after this circus of a fight and when we were too close to a tpk, Gunna decided to ditch the sword and instead Inflict Wounds on the boss.
Which was climactic, because as I said that's the only (damaging) spell that didn't come from her warlock pact, but from herself. From her lineage, specifically, which is what got her mother killed, and almost her as well. It's the reason why she received a weapon to defend herself, and became a warlock.
So she got the killing blow with this spell, which translates beautifully into Loki forcing her to not relay on his gifts when she's already got her own — at his own temple, the place where she wanted to impress him the most — and pissing her off enough to finally get the point across.
She's the messiest eater you can think of and most times would rather eat with her hands than cutlery. Which isn't necessarily weird, but it'd be nice if she washed them beforehand.
Loves kids. More often than not kids tend to be terrified of her, but nevertheless she adores kids. Unless they're bullies, in that case, well, have you ever read about the pokemon drampa?
👎!
👎 which muse secretly (or not so secretly) loves terrible movies
Not so secretly, that'd be Gunna. In a modern verse, she'd be a great fan of bad horror movies in particular, the sort that you would watch for comedy.
Then there's also Gallagher, who is fascinated by all the weird things mortals do, so they might find some amusement in them, even if they don't exactly understand their purpose.
And finally, Enid would unironically but secretly enjoy bad romance films, because she just loves love.
