This has been on my mind for long but I’m gonna do this - please reblog this if you’re comfortable with pre-establishing relationships. I do not mean “met at the grocery store two weeks ago” or “have a common friend”, but rather stuff like “have been best friends since kindergrden”, “go for a beer every friday”, “friends with benefits”, “dated in highschool”, “hate each other’s guts because -insert reason-”  etc. Something meaningful (but not necessarily shippy) and I mean with muns/characters you have not interacted with, because I cannot believe I am the only one who prefers jumping right into the heart of the human interaction.

Maybe he should have asked himself how had he got there in the first place. This way, he would have noticed this was but a fragment of a fickle fantasy. But it made sense. In this world, it made sense. The way he could only describe Giotto's lips as greedy, it just made sense — he should have noticed that instant that it wasn't a word he would ever use to define the most selfless man he's ever known.

G is happy to oblige, as always. There is not a thing he wouldn't do for his closest friend. Killing, dying, you name it. And keeping his mouth on Giotto's while his hands run blindly down his torso, that in particular was offensively easy. He's never had a chance to explore the shapes of his body before, sure, but has had plenty of time to get familiar with them, even if only by observation. He's sometimes found himself wishing their tailor would do a little less of a fine job. Fewer admirers pestering his friend at all times, fewer distractions for him. Two birds with one stone.

He parts just in time to hear a breathy sigh escape from the blond's lips, and G decides he needs to hear more. More, more... He refuses another kiss — and hears the sweetest groan of complaint and impatience in response — in order to trace his lips down Giotto's neck. Drowns in the faint smell of perfume, tempted to leave his mark. But not even in dreams he can rid himself of the weight of responsibilities, it seems, for he reminds himself that they need to keep decorum, especially Giotto. He grazes his teeth against his skin and leaves a reddish trail that would fade in a minute, but that's about it.

More, as he runs his thumbs slowly through Giotto's inner thighs, and chuckles quietly at his reaction when he takes his hands off instead of sliding them any higher. What he does is grab them, and prop the blond up on the desk. He keeps eye contact — and struggles to do so for the first time; his breathing is heavy, his mouth feels dry — while he goes down on his knees.

He wakes up to entrancing the sound of Giotto's gasps… fading from his memory as he comes back to consciousness.

    soft  hum  seems  to  easily  escape  the  tiefling’s  lips ,   a  sound  almost  akin  to  a  purr  leaving  his  throat  as  the  wizard  snuggled  closer .   how  he  went  from  being  nothing  but  a  travelling  showman ,   searching  for  his  past  as  a  means  of  making  himself  feel  complete   …   but  what  mollymauk  didn’t  realize  was  that  he  could  find  himself  in  other  ways  (  that  perhaps  he  should’ve  been  searching  for  something  else ,   or  someone .  )

clawed  hand  reaches  underneath  the  other’s  scruffy  chin  to  plant  another  kiss  against  awaiting  lips ,   but  he  to  jumped  lightly  upon  hearing  the  voice  of  their  teammate  enter  their  private  quarters .  but  instead  of  getting  embarrassed ,   the  tiefling  simply  turned  towards  the  monk  with  a  subtly  sway  of  his  hips  and  a  smug  grin  plastered  against  his  face .

Unlike the tiefling, Caleb is mortified. Beauregard might not tell everyone else about this, but if it got to Jester’s ears, they’ll all know. It wasn’t that big of a deal, really, but that was a side of him he never showed to anyone (other than whoever decided to accompany him to get his, uh, historical smut novels, maybe).

The monk flips him off in response.

“Mollymauk,” he tugs on his coat a little, “let it be.” And the wizard falls silent for a second, and two, and presses his lips together before he speaks again in a low, low voice. “Perhaps she’s right.”

This . . This had back fired on him .  He had merely tried to come off as coy and playful , though he really should have known better — again . Of course his best friend would simply agree to his request . Half the time , he never had to order his friend to do anything . He could make an off - handed comment , with little to no meaning , and the other would obey every word . It was a dangerous power to have over an individual , but G was lucky that Giotto was not the type of person to use it to his advantage .

Shaking his head , Giotto thoughtlessly reaches out , hand placed over his momentarily as he pushes it away .       「     Forget it , G . I think you’re onto something —     」     he begins as he , reluctantly , pulling his hand back as he stands . Shoving them into his pockets , he cocked his head to the side , gesturing towards the door .       「     I could use a break . And so can you , my friend . I can’t stay inside and mope around all day .     」

He will just come back later to finish up , even if it took him until early dawn to do so . It was his responsibility , not G.’s .His friend has done enough for him , after all .   

“So I was right,” he doesn’t bolster about his intuition, but it’s good that his friend knows he can’t lie to his right hand man. But when Giotto walks up to him, he drapes an arm around his shoulders, and hugs him a little. And odd gesture, for a man who values his personal space so highly. G has never been the one to show physical affection — or most kinds of affection, for that matter. Not detached, but... pragmatic, maybe. Or so he’d say, if anyone ever dared confronting him about it.

But he presses Giotto against him for a moment, and squeezes his shoulder in a reassuring manner. Then lets him go.

“I think we both could use a drink.” G had more of a habit than his friend (and a reputation for high alcohol tolerance), but once in a while wouldn’t kill him.

when one character brokenly says “i have nothing to offer you” and the other character looks at them with fond exasperation, because there’s nothing else they could want except the gift of their love. that shit gets me.
