yesterday around 10am i got a call from one of my closest friends and it was brief “STAY AWAY FROM CIELO VISTA MALL” after i let her know i was in mexico at the moment she sighed in relief because that’s where i’d usually be on a saturday morning

and then i almost fainted and started spiraling at the fact that the people i love could be gone. that my community was being torn apart.

i still don’t know if i lost someone or not

but what i do know is that it took two minutes to find the shooters, Patrick Crusius’, twitter and see that he’s been a trump supporter. Two minutes to realize that OUR PRESIDENTS RHETORIC MADE SOMEONE COME INTO MY CITY AND KILL. that a white man from dallas took the lives of the people we care about in my community over MAGA induced hate.

i cried the day he was elected and i cried again yesterday knowing this wouldn’t have happened if he wasn’t the president.

I support the right to own a gun. I want to be clear on that. The process to own/buy/sell a gun needs to be completely overhauled. It just shocks me that others want to prevent love between two humans.

Make the Senate pass gun control laws!

If you are exhausted, angry, and heartbroken from seeing all the mass shootings recently then it’s time to stand up and make it stop by getting the senate to pass the bill that will make universal background checks mandatory for firearms.

It’s been 100 days since it passed through the House with bipartisan support but the Senate has just been sitting on it due to the corruption of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnel who is funded by the NRA!

Call the number of Mitch McConnel and demand he finally allow the bill to be voted on and stops putting money above lives! Also text CHECKS to 644-33 to talk to your Senator and ask them what they are doing to support this bill. Thank you and let’s stand up and stop gun violence, we can do it!
