Every week 40 school kids fell and got hurt because a sidewalk leading out of the school fell apart... it would get repaired.
If every week 50 kids had a really bad case of the flu to which they had to be hospitalized, then that school might get extra medical attention and supplies. Maybe a week off while everyone was made sure they were well so they wouldn't spread the flu.
If a storm hit a school so hard that part of the building was damaged, we wouldn't send the kids into that section for fear that the roof might collapse on them.
Why is a certain percentage of our population suggesting that we can't even talk about trying to find a solution to the problem.
