@gunsvroses : “i'm awful at giving out gifts, but i thought you would like this, so -” you take out a piece of fabric, unfolding it to reveal a big hoodie, surely big enough to where it'll be baggy on the other, but not big enough to where it would engulf them. it was just a simple black hoodie, sure to be comfy, “i've always liked these brand of hoodies, thought they always felt nice, brought me comfort too, as silly as it sounds. so ... i bought you one. i hope you like it.”
❝ no way! you shouldn’t have. ❞ the excitement in your voice was foreign to you & you blink one or twice. you hold the hoodie against your figure as you peer down. it was simple enough & you loved it for that. never before had you gotten a real gift for any reason, let alone occasion. ❝ i love it! i love it. ❞ you were debating on physical contact, knowing he was fairly unaccustomed to such affections, so you just playfully tap his chest with your knuckles, half - grin on your face. something about receiving a gift made you sad; it might have been that you were so old & only receiving your first gift right now. but you’d relish in & remember the feeling until the end of days.
