As far as I'm aware, the only context you need is that the 16 realms have merged. During the merge the ninja got split up and presumably that's how Kai ended up alone in the realm of monsters

Hi! I make some of them from specific scenes using an app called "videofotos", which is dutch but I think there are a few dozen alternatives? It takes videos and turns them into screencaps. I also take some of them from the site screenmusings.net which has a bunch of west wing screencaps from all episodes! They let you use them for all kinds of purposes, so if you don't want to make them yourself or don't have a specific scene in mind, that works great!
