Late 19th Century Kukri - £100

The style of kukri is known as a Short Gurkha Army Kukri. Typically from the Bhojpure region of Nepal they tend to date form the end of the 19th century to the start of the first world war. These knives were almost always issued to the military. A good example of this style of Kukri, the edge still retains its original sharpness. There is evidence of it being service sharpened, meaning that it is likely that this knife saw active service. The bolster and but cap are both steel with a full tang. There is a small chip to the handle, evident in the photos.
