just disassociating thinking about all the old sites I lived on as a child.
I miss you gurl.com, kiddonet/girlsense, quizilla, dollzmania, iconator, and habbo hotel. 🥲
gURL.com was originall a zine, founded in 1996 by Heather McDonald, Esther Drill, and Rebecca Odes, to provide advice for teenage girls. It was purchased by Delia’s and went through several other owners before ultimately being discontinued, but gURL.com’s legacy includes its online community and spawned several books.
I miss gURL.com
After Sassy, before Rookie, there was gURL.com.
