What if the fight that was heard right before macaque saved monkey king was altered in the same way mk’s memories were alter such as the lady bone demon noticing him.
I don’t think monkey just watch the fight go on I think he relived the fight.
CALL ME CRAZY but I don’t think macaque would laugh like that during a fight it threw off the whole scene for me. With monkey king pleading with macaque not to force him to do this and to stop only to have just laughter.
Macaque to me seems like he would talk during a fight. He would throw insults at monkey king just to edge him on to get under his skin and the laughter that is hear during the scene is too low (for me personally) to seem real and sounded different from all the other types of laughter we get from macaque.
And the coincidence that monkey king is broken free at the same time the “ending blow” happened he was freed by macaque from an EYE.
It would maybe explain the tears and his response he gave once he was out. Monkey king wasn’t just shake r from seeing the fight again he was shaken from reliving the fight again.
Anyways that’s just my crazy rambling of my brain thoughts.
