Hey so uuuuuh, can Rumi levitate? And if so, what other demon powers can she use? (This was meant to be a shorter post 🥲)
Hear me out.
Rumi can get a demon appearance (claws, ombre hand, yellow eyes, possibly an etc). Rumi also has a demon voice, and seen a few times throughout the movie. This shows that while Rumi has been raised as a hunter first and foremost, she can also harness, at the very least, demon physiology.
Jinu also says that Rumi is strong, followed by him figuring out that she's part demon — that's either because the Honmoon powers her, (Mira, Zoey and Rumi can jump out of a plane and be completely fine mind you), or because she's a demon, (that's to say if demons are naturally stronger than humans and have the same strength as chosen hunters do).
This little moment is where I got my train of thought from, right here during the “Free Duet”. They're literally floating a few seconds before this! Or they're imagining this moment, in which case, oops.
There's also this concept art from Mingjue Helen Chen, the Production Designer for Rumi and Jinu's “Free” duet. Rumi may be on the roof top, but Jinu's once again levitating.
And there's this moment with the Saja Boys during “Your Idol”.
They're literally ascending! Floating! Levitating! “It's a bird! It's a plane!” No! It's the fucking Saja Boys!
Now we do also see Rumi and the rest of Huntr/x levitating, but that only happens once after “What It Sounds Like”. I don't remember Huntr/x levitating any other moment other than then.
We could argue that hunters and demons have the same level of ability, but we never see Huntr/x pull off what Saja Boys do in “Soda Pop” and in the moments before Mira and Zoey are pulled into the Saja Boys concert:

I'm not really sure what to call this specific ability, since the scenery changes into something that shouldn't make sense. But still, we haven't seen Huntr/x do this. Other than the killing demons special effects, wink wink nudge nudge.
And then we know that Rumi can teleport like the other demons, seen here:
So in theory, hunters and demons do have different abilities. Or, Gwi-Ma and the Honmoon can give their respective people these powers.
But I'm specifically going with hunters and demons have certain powers, some the same, some different.
So far, demons are shown to have shapeshifting abilities (between demon and human form), levitation abilities, teleportation abilities, the ability to change scenery visually, and a type of vocal/mental hypnosis ability that I can't put a name to.
Now imagine if Rumi could have those abilities too. All we've seen of her demon form is quite literally her demon form, as well as her teleportation.
I don't really now how to end this properly, I just wanted to start a discussion surrounding it. I've seen so many gifs that my eyes kind of hurt now lol.
