duuude, so... i've seen quite some handmaid's tale posts on my dash and i've been paying attention to the tags but i need you to tell me is it really that good? do i need to watch it? i just need explained reasons i dont wanna start and maybe be let down can you help me out pls lol omfg
IT REALLY IS THAT GOOD
the cast and crew are really respectful of the source material and did a fantastic job moving the book into ~modern times + margaret atwood was involved in every step of making the show so all the changes have been discussed & approved with her
the cast is FANTASTIC and they love the book so much & the visuals & the worldbuilding & THE VOICEOVER everything is just stunning imo
of course there is a lot of triggering material - just as there was in the book - so it’s not for everyone
but god , what a stunning, horrifying, beautiful show
