Learning about how to gut-load crickets so that my gecko family can be as happy as possible :')
My leopard geckos are a different story. Since they're strictly insectivores (whereas pip is an omnivore!), they won't eat anything that isn't alive and moving. Since this is the case, I've been dusting their crickets with calcium powder and feeding them once every other day, but I wasn't sure what else to do.
I don't have any sort of cricket enclosure, but I usually get them and, after feeding half to my leopard geckos, keep the rest in the bag for a couple days. Today, I put a slice of apple into each bag that I have (one with pinheads from Prin and one with large ones for Mango and Tango). Tomorrow, I'm gonna see if the crickets eat them and then on Wednesday, see if my leopard geckos like the crickets any more/less.
