Unrelated to geckos...
My multies had babies!!!!!!! I've been trying to stimulate breeding in my tank since I got it started a couple months ago but only within the past couple weeks have I had success. I have (from what I've seen) seven new baby fish in my tank, woo!!!
They're so ridiculous cute it's unbelievable.
I never ever thought I’d be excited to say this, but: I have beetles in my house!!!!
Yes, that’s right, beetles. My meal worms are turning into beetles which is bad because now I have less meal worms to feed to my lil guys, but very very good because the beetles will lay eggs who will in turn… become more meal worms.
How exciting!! I have so much new life going on in my house!!
I may end up getting my sister’s female crested gecko (Pekoe) and if I do, I want to see if she and Pip (my male crested gecko) would get along!! Like I don’t necessarily want to breed cresteds but it’d be nice for them both to have a friend, and I think maybe pekoe would be a good influence on pip because he’s crazy
Do not house them together.
Geckos don’t need, or want “friends”.
You will either have fighting, or non-stop breeding and two very stressed animals.
Oh, thank you so much! My sister's gecko used to live with another female and they got along very well so I assumed that they don't really mind having company. But I suppose the female/male dynamic is really quite different. Thanks for your opinion!!
It’s a Mango and Tango (and anime) kinda night

My chiropractor hooked me up with an aquarium but turns out his kids were using it as a terrarium so it’s full of sand and rocks and stuff…. Might be getting another lizard sooner than I thought….
It's true, I'm screwed
I have to help both Mango and Tango climb because they’ve both lost a lot of toes :’(
Mango and Tango both obviously had tough times shedding in the past... Both of them have a couple missing toes. I don't think their past owner new how to properly create a good environment for them so I've been upgrading their enclosure since buying them.
I've also recently come to the conclusion after doing some online research and talking to people at the pet store, that maybe a softer, more moist material should be in their hut to help them shed.
Pip is getting a little bit more social!! He still jumps a lot but he loves to jump so that's kind of fair. I still think he needs a bigger enclosure so I'm gonna start hunting kijiji for one
I have two lizards on my legs
Watching The Mummy with mango and tango and one of my best (human) friends!!
Quick lizard update: Mango laid some eggs a few days ago.... Definitely not fertile but that's okay because I don't have the equipment to incubate them right now anyway. Tango shed and is now lookin super fine. Prin is getting big!! He was so tiny when I got him a couple weeks ago and he's definitely grown a couple centimeters. Pip is..... Pip hahah. A neurotic bastard who likes to poop on me. But it's all good he's still cute and super cool.
Lil prin on the hunt for my camera
Learning about how to gut-load crickets so that my gecko family can be as happy as possible :')
My leopard geckos are a different story. Since they're strictly insectivores (whereas pip is an omnivore!), they won't eat anything that isn't alive and moving. Since this is the case, I've been dusting their crickets with calcium powder and feeding them once every other day, but I wasn't sure what else to do.
I don't have any sort of cricket enclosure, but I usually get them and, after feeding half to my leopard geckos, keep the rest in the bag for a couple days. Today, I put a slice of apple into each bag that I have (one with pinheads from Prin and one with large ones for Mango and Tango). Tomorrow, I'm gonna see if the crickets eat them and then on Wednesday, see if my leopard geckos like the crickets any more/less.
This is my third blog heck yea!!! Lizard time
