Today was a satisfying, sunny, spring Saturday. We took a 2.5 mile walk to the local gazebo, hitting poke-gyms on the way. I found an old picture of some old ladies on the side of the road, and it felt like something I shouldn't throw away. When we came back John cleaned the rear gutters and then together we weeded the front gardens. This terrible ground cover was all up in there and it's just starting to appear, so we took advantage of the baby plants and tore that shit out. I love the results, and it's quite the relief. A neighbor stopped and gave us a single rose. She told us that her and another neighbor love what we have done with the property, and at night the elderly couple across the street enjoy looking out over our property and watching the wildlife. They were kind words. I used to think this particular neighbor was a spooky witch, but now I think she could be a powerful woman who likes me 😉 more of a Rhonda than a witch. Watson and Nala lived their best lives in the open windows, and after a shower and a late lunch John & I took a late afternoon nap in the hammock. Very successful day ❤
