how do you lessen how much someone affects you? because like i love this guy but im not in love with him OR dating him it’ll literally Never Happen, but every time i talk to him or interact with him at all i hyperanalyze how he interacts with me and it fucks me up, every time!

for some background, we had a falling out like 10 years ago when i told him i liked him and he didnt and then weren’t even really on speaking terms until 2 years ago, but thats a whole different bag of beans

but like i saw him yesterday and he looked at me like he was happy to see me and like he wanted me around and i got 2 hugs from him and i was literally on cloud 9 when i got home, and then this morning thinking about it i burst into tears because i was so happy he wanted me around and its too much? hes not really a part of my life anymore but i still hold him in such high regard and think hes more important and better than me? and its so stupid and i cant stop i want it to stop
