One moment Chiikawa was outside the skirts of the city, living within the simple wildlife with the occasional building that provided goods. The next, they found themselves within walls of cement and concrete holding an environment far too much for them to handle.
A car speeding by, the wheels disrupting a puddle on the curb as its water lands on Chiikawa, an unruly dog barks at them as they walk by. Thankfully their bag didn't get too scuffed within the antics, though at the cost of themselves looking a little worse for wear. Regardless, they proceed, dragging their feet across the sidewalk almost teary eyed.
A glimmer of green within the hustle and bustle catches their eye, and whether it'd be out of desperation to find the light at the end of this chaotic tunnel or genuine curiosity, Chiikawa followed. Grasping onto something that didn't disappear as soon as it arrived. So bright...!
They kept their distance, however, as this still was something of the city, more specifically, in the hands of a man who seemed unassuming. Save for the hair. It was actually kind of funny-looking! And would you look at that, a coffee shop! Yay! She needed a treat right about now.
What wasn't so "yay!", though, was the sudden acknowledgement, especially with the mans rather aggressive and crass language. It made them jump accompanied with a gentle "Ah!" as they clutched the strap of their bag for comfort. It took some courage for Chiikawa to point a shaking paw at ring on his hand, they were too afraid to speak out loud, as always, so the least she can do is give an idea of an answer.

“that’s … very considerate of you, actually. as sad as this sounds, that’s the nicest a colleague has been to me in a while.” a beat. “former colleague, right. i forgot i used to be in the league.”
@guy-on-top liked for a starter from Tony -> Guy
Location: Stark Tower – below the lab, the “unofficial neutral zone.”
Tony had never been great at diplomacy. Galactic council? Fine. Board of directors? Cake. But an interdimensional meet-and-greet with the Lantern Corps’ resident human firecracker?
That was a new one. He’d been told Guy Gardner was “a personality.” Which usually meant pain in the ass, but Tony wasn’t one to judge- pot, meet kettle.
So when the energy readings lit up over Manhattan and an over-confident man in green landed hard enough to make JARVIS stutter, Tony figured it was time to say hello before S.H.I.E.L.D. sent someone who didn’t know how to play nice.
He leaned against the catwalk railing as Guy approached, arc reactor casting its faint blue halo through the half-dark.
“Well, well,” Tony began, voice casual but sharp, like a scalpel dipped in honey. “If it isn’t Earth’s answer to a cosmic traffic light. You must be Guy Gardner. Love the color scheme, by the way. Really subtle. Screams ‘look at me, I glow.’”
He offered a smirk, but his eyes tracked the ring carefully; engineer’s curiosity masked as bravado. “So that’s it, huh? The famous Green Lantern ring. Self-recharging, gravitationally immune, runs on willpower.” He tilted his head. “Guessing it doesn’t have a mute function, though.”
Tony’s tone softened a fraction, curiosity bleeding through the sarcasm. “Gotta admit, though, whatever alien tech you’re packing there? It’s impressive. Self-sustaining power, adaptive constructs, psychoreactive interface… makes my Mark models look downright analog. And believe me, that’s not a compliment I hand out often.”
He straightened, stepping closer, expression caught somewhere between admiration and challenge. “You and I? We’re not all that different. Both running on will, ego, and a questionable amount of caffeine. The difference is you glow emerald when you do it; I just explode things in red and gold.”
Tony paused, mouth twitching into that trademark Stark half-smile. “So what brings the Corps to my backyard? Galactic trouble? Cosmic audit? Or did you just hear there was another arrogant genius on this rock and wanted to compare notes?”
He picked up a tablet, thumb idly scrolling through schematics even as his gaze stayed locked on Gardner. “Don’t get me wrong, I’m flattered. Most visitors from space skip the pleasantries and go straight for the invasion part. You’re practically polite by comparison.”
A beat.
Then, quieter, almost genuine: “I’m not looking for a fight, Guy. I just want to understand what makes that ring tick... and what makes you tick while you’re wearing it. Because if you’re telling me that thing runs on willpower alone…”
He gave a low whistle. “Well, let’s just say I’ve met gods, titans, and aliens… but human will? That’s the one power source I actually respect.”
He took a step back, grin widening. “So. You gonna let me take a look under the hood, Green Jeans, or do I have to save the world first before we get to the fun part?”
