I don’t have a lot to say, very rarely do nowadays, but I came very close to quitting my job on the spot.
Now, I regret not doing it, so I’m still employed.
It’s never been about the work itself, it’s been about the people. I can’t help but consider the alternatives and goals that our jobs suck out of us. All this for some bread.
In other news, I’m in Salt Lake City, Utah, where it’s fucking cold, and I ran 8 miles because I’m a crazy person with ambitions of doing something ridiculous like running my first marathon in many years. Probably won’t happen, but I had good intentions.
Lastly, because this has become more of a novel than I’d like it to be, I feel like my daily existential notions have come full circle by actually convincing me that I’m okay, for today.
