A/n: I’M DOING IT! Seriously I fucking love this game. The banter between the two is just amazing.

Also I have no idea what happens at the end so I’m just doing my own thing.

A/n 2: I don’t know if he actually states his name further down but right now KK is named Kaito

Summary: Being back in his body was one thing, actually being alive was another.Though the one thing KK did know that he couldn’t wait to be back in your arms, that is if you hadn’t moved on already.

a kiss to the temples

It was an odd feeling, being back in his body. It was something that he never thought would happen to him. Hell if he did he half expected to be in some other body or six feet under not in some hospital bed with a tube shoved down his throat.

He had wanted to leave the hospital, the man would have left the room if he hadn’t felt so weak. He just wanted to see you, he wanted to see his son. Closing his eyes he tries to ignore how fast his heart was beating. Thoughts racing, he wondered if you moved on, he couldn’t blame you if you did.

“Kaito?” The voice was so soft he barley heard it though craning his neck towards the door he spotted a familiar figure. You still looked the same, still beautiful but you looked tired and your clothes didn’t look like they were sagging on you.

“Hey.”He chuckled weakly, suddenly everything hurt but he wasn’t going to let that show on his face, not when you were already crying.

Lip quivering you quickly rushed to your husbands bed as your arms wrapped around him the best you could. Squeezing your husband tightly you buried your face into his chest. You didn’t want it let him go, you were scared to let him go.

Closing your eyes you felt KK slowly rub his hand down your back. It felt too long since you hugged him, held him. “I can’t believe you’re awake. Nobody….everyone.” it was hard to get the words out, to tell him that so many people wanted you to pull the plug on him.

Sighing,he shifted his body on the bed, biting his cheek as he ignore the shot of pain that hit him.Just holding you again was worth it. “Hey now Y/n. You don’t gotta cry. Got nothin to worry about, I’m still here alright. I’m not going anywhere.” He muttered placing a kiss to your temple.

Chuckling lightly you slipped into the hospital bed more than happy to be curled into him. You didn’t care about the little space you might have, you were just happy to be in his arms. “I can’t wait for you to come home.” You whispered as your eyes slipped closed enjoying the feeling of your husband running his fingers through your hair. “Daisuke is going to be so happy to see you…I’m sorry I didn’t.”

“Y/n…You don’t gotta apologize for not bringing our son here. I’m not really in the best shape in dealing with a six year old.”

Sighing you just buried your face into his neck, your fingers digging into the hospital gown.

“Tomorrow….tomorrow I’ll bring him.”

Closing his own eyes he knew he had to at least get some sleep but he didn’t want to stop holding you, KK didn’t want to let you go. He felt like it was a dream, that he’d still be ‘dead’ and in Akio’s body.

“Can’t wait.” KK muttered seeing that you had fallen asleep. “I’m finally home.” He placed another kiss to the side of your head as he finally fell asleep.
