“Excuse me?” Nancy asked, raising a brow as she looked at Steve. “Yours?” She asked.

Ok, sure, she wasn’t with Jonathan anymore, and she and Steve had been getting closer. But they weren’t official. Not yet. And she definitely found it amusing that Steve was already trying to call her “his”. When they hadn’t actually been on a date yet.

“First, Am I yours?” She asked, a hint of a teasing smile on her lips. “And second, he wasn’t looking at me in any way.” She chuckled.

Nancy had been a little worried when she hadn’t heard from Steve. And then she heard some sounds coming from her backyard. She made a few steps there with her flashlight. Her eyes looked around until she saw Steve. Naked and in her backyard. It took Nancy a few minutes to process it before she said anything. “Steve? What are you doing here? Why are you naked?” She was confused before she grabbed at her robe that she had on. Walking over to him and putting the robe on his body. “Steve. . .” She knelt down in front of him and touch his face just gently. The concern all over her face. As she looked at him. Her thumb running along his cheek as she waited to make sure that he was really okay right then and there.

         The shopping mall in this town looks like every other, except for the dizzying reality that it's not abandon. Not charred, not covered in those friggin' anime tentacles that want nothing more than to sound the alarm at the slightest touch. No floating ash. Disorienting. Same with the high school, the gas station. There's life here. The sun's shining, for pete's sake... it's unreal. Like the movies. Hard not to get swept up in it but she doesn't have much choice. She's got ground to cover, because just being in Hawkins isn't enough --- every Hellmouth has it's center. An actual mouth she needs to find before they can even think about closing it.

She's a ways outside of the town square, out where the highway cuts through timber, when she hears a car coming up the road behind her. Faith snakes onto the shoulder, starts walking backwards right on the line and, like a woman who knows she's scarier than anything that could possibly be in that BMW, starts to flag it down, “Whoa... hey!” the woods outside Hawkins are the last place she wants to be tonight.

Robin had always been irritated by Steve. He seemed to be one of the only ones at the academy that had truly rivalled her. She’d constantly tried to trip him up or make him look like an idiot. It had been her favourite past time, in the build up to becoming a proper Jaeger pilot. She’d been desperate to join the fight after she’d lost her parents to the Kaiju. 

It was when they’d had to find out who they were drift compatible with that she’d been praying to get paired up with Tammy. The two of them would often be found together at the academy, Robin just listening to Tammy sing. Although the one thing she’d turned her nose up at was the fact that Tammy seemed to like Steve.

She hadn’t been paired with Nancy. She didn’t mind the other girl so much, but she had thought that she was a bit of a priss. And then she hadn’t even gotten paired with Tammy, which she was surprised at. It was when the results had shown she was compatible with Steve, that she had been most shocked. 

“No, no, no. No way am I piloting anything with that Dingus!”

Instinctively as he came towards her, she turned her head away to hide the bulb of the bruising, hoping her healing would kick in sooner rather than later. “It’s nothing, you should see the other guy.” she told him quietly. “Besides, it’s going to heal. I’ve had worse injuries before I moved here.” it was easy to dismiss. “I faced berserkers in Mexico and California. They could take a hit.”

"Steve!" The girl stormed into Scoops, heels CLACKING along the floor. A flustered look STREWN across her features. "Dustin t-told me about you-- you s-said your hair was better than mine?"

Finger pointed at the boy, brows arched. "F-Free sorbet. Now." Charley was biting back a GRIN. She had probably bickered with Steve more than she cared to admit. It was all part of the FUN, though, wasn't it?
