I really like sugar-soul and gyaru-coordinates blogs...
Ahh, I've reached a milestone in the amount of people viewing/following the blog posts on this blog. I guess it's more standard to host a giveaway when this happens, but I have plans for giveaways that involves AS but right now, we could just about afford shipping costs...barely....and we're not even close to covering shipping to somewhere like South America (DX how do you guys do it? Dat shipping fee. ) .
So, it made more sense to me to do this. More people can potentially get it, and it's blog related, and may help! You don't have to download it if you don't want to ^^;; but it consists of a compilation of magazine scans from before I started this blog (all magazines afterwards have been posted and are still viewable if you follow the links). Gift 1 consists mostly of gyaru makeup tutorials from ageha, egg, popteen, AND popsister (200+ pages edited) . Gift 2 consists of hair tutorials from the same magaines (115+ pages edited). Thank you everyone for sticking with this blog and following me. Working towards making giveaways a reality sooner rather than later ^^;;

~ Survey Time ~
I've made 3 surveys mostly to get a general overview of who follows the blog, and what I can do to improve the blog, as well as some of your personal opinions on the community and random knowledge questions. Since the last time I did a survey it locked me out -.- , I'm tracking this, only the first 99 for each , will be allowed before I close the surveys. Just so I can view the data and get back to you :P

Thank you for taking the time to do any of these <3 . I sincerely appreciate it :)
Hi ^_^ ~! This is gonna be my first winter as a gyaru, and I was wondering if you had any tips or know of things I should get. (It doesn't snow where I live, but it still gets cold) Thanks~!
Hello lovely! and sure thing, I'll try to be thorough >.< I'll put a focus on potential headgear, coat/jackets for that weather, tops and a note on shoes/legwear. I'll try to highlight current trends, but it is not necessary to follow them, because they are current trends it'll be easier to find them though. I'm not sure what your style is (well I mean I kind of have an idea based on pictures xD ) but I want to be general and have it applicable to others who share the same thought for a different style. Type will refer to the type of item that is frequently seen or trending this season. So let's start, I warn you, this is going to be LONG.
HEADWEAR:
Item: Cable Knit HatStore(s): Dazzlin, Gyda, Liz Lisa, Emoda, Spinns, Glad News, etcSeason: Fall - Early SpringType: with pom pom, without pom pom, other embellishments such as a veil, with text, without text, decorative image
In Depth Look:Knits with pom poms definitely give the feel of winter, and work best during the winter season in climates that are more often extremely cold or snowy. The downside to them is that winter is really the only time the pom poms come out. They are not 'trans-seasonal' items. However, knits without pom poms are often seen as early as fall combined with lighter clothes/coordinates into early spring. When the weather is still a bit chilly, you know :P This makes them a good investment imo. The thicker types of knits are usually reserved for winter only, because they are out of place in early spring and when you are wearing light clothes :P To add a bit of your personality to them, you can opt to find a knit with embellishments, texts, or other decorative images. For example, a mode gal who is going for a refined classy look can either keep it simple (a hat with no pom pom ins black, navy, white, blue, you know the usual mode colour scheme) or buy (or diy) something like a version of jil sander's veiled cable knit hat in the same colour scheme. Patterned hats can also be brought for their look! In a similar vein, going back to the veiled knit hat, goth gyaru can buy the same in black or white, for a sort of 'winter funeral look'. Can you imagine how interesting that may work out to be? A himekaji gal buying a pink, cream, or white hate with a short romantic text inscribed on it, or simple words like 'cute' can work. A rock gal, or neo gal, buying the glad news explicit advisory cap, you know, so people know ahead of time that they will not hold back their thoughts or feelings for anyone, also shows your personality better than a simple knit hat can.
BeretsStores: Liz Lisa, Ank Rouge, Dazzlin, onespo, F.I.N.T, dreamvSeasons: All depending on coordinate
More than often, if you are going for a romantic look , or a retro look, or a sweet look, a beret is a good option to consider based on your wardrobe. Styles like rokku ,neo, boheme, ora ora, punk, do not usually incorporate a beret. It is not impossible though, it just is not usually seen with these types of looks. It is possible to make a goth coord incorporating the beret, the construction would follow himekaji coords, the colour would follow goth coords. A beret can also work for mode gyaru coords, usually it's kept simple though. Like I stated about the knit hats, embellishments and added decorative elements, if chosen, should not only add to the look but also show a bit of your personality.
HatStores: Ungrid, Murua, Emoda, Anap, Spinns , Garula, Glavil, etcSeason: All depending on coordinateType: Bowlers and Porkpie hats , embellished or not
In-depth Look:Bowlers and Porkpie hats are common this season. These hats can work well for boheme themes, a mori themed look, a cute retro look, mode look, and rokku look with the right clothes. Usually when it comes to embellishments or added on features the bowler hats can have cat ears/bear ears (anap and/or old murua collection c. 2012 I believe), feathers added onto the porkpie hats, ribbons, etc. You could always add these on with diy customizations, also. The good news about these items is you can wear them year round with your outfits and they won't seem out of place if you coordinate them correctly!
CapsStores: Virtually allSeasons: Usually Fall-Early SummerTypes: SnapbacksIn-depth Look:These caps can go with virtually any style (with the exception of a few). Street, Rock, Mode, Himekaji , Haady, Ora Ora, the list goes on. They come with all sorts of embellishments and text, and colours and patterns and designs. They can be worn year round, but not usually the best option for summer. They are all casual and give off an all around 'chill' / 'laid back' vibe.
OUTERWEAR (from warmest weather appropriate to coldest weather appropriate)CardigansSeason: Spring - Fall (Layered in Winter, I suppose)Type: Fabric Dependent, Length Dependent, Patterned or not,
Cardigans are another one of those items that can go with all styles, but depending on how cold it will get, it may not be something you want to invest in. They're really a good thing to have, in general, but I wont dwell on it, since they probably won't be appropriate to wear, unless you wear them in the spring- fall season, which is not what we are talking about xD.
Parka Season: Fall - WinterType : Varsity /Bomber Jacket, Mixed Denim Jacket, Oversized Boyfriend Suit JacketThis is probably where you'll be most focused when it comes to outerwear. If you're into a more sweet /casual sweet look, I'd look for either a bomber jacket or oversized boyfriend suit jacket in the usual sweet colours.
CoatSeason: WinterHeavy coats can be a good item to have if it get's too cold and/or if you live in a snowy region. Usually you can stay plenty warm with layers, but sometimes a coat is really necessary. I don't know if it will be necessary for you though. I think you can probably get by with layers and a scarf and gloves and boots.
TOPSbasicallyLong SleevedSeason: Fall-WinterType: Sweaters/Pullover, Shirts/Blouse (to layer)
Most of these items are always used when it comes to cold season. So unless your tastes change periodically, they would be worth the investment. Sweaters, or pullovers, over blouses becomes 2/3 layers in a look. Most of the time the Parka item becomes the 3rd layer, unless another layer is added under the blouse/shirt. It basically, makes it easy to shed clothes off should the temperature start to warm up. The hard part is finding a place to put the extra clothes >.>;
Legwear: Last but not least, I think you should invest in socks (both ankle and over the knee), nude tights (especially) but others can be fine for a look, and obviously boots of some sort.
Yeah so the super tl;dr version goes something like this:Invest in head accessories that goes with your style. Parka Items like jackets, suit jackets,denim jacket similar items will probably be weather appropriate.Layer with sweaters and blouses, and invest in some long sleeved shirts/pulloversLegwear is usually always the same, except nude tights are good to use to keep your legs warmer. Nude tights + socks = even more warmth. But simply wearing tights works and if you are insane and can handle cold weather in bare legs (or won't be outside much) socks up to where you'll need them the most would work). Not mentioned:Pants will obviously be our best friend for the winter. Choose colour palette and design appropriately. The overall one piece items are a popular trend this season. You can coordinate it with a long sleeved shirt + sweater (optional) + parka item , hat, scarf and boots.Scarfs, mufflers, gloves will help you keep warm.Heavy coats may not be necessary for your type of weather.
Sorry for the longggg response xD Thankfully lots of pictures buffered it :P For cost efficiency, you can find most these items and trends on dreamv and galstar . If you want a brand specific item, I say use a shopping service. If you want it cheaper than dreamv and or galstar you can probably find a ton of these on taobao, but you probably already know where to look for these items anyway! :) Hope I helped..even a little.
