Super hot day today, we hit 34 degrees. So I hit the surf for some moderate cardio and recovery with the cold salt water. Then chilled for most of the day trying to come up with new edits using Final Cut Pro X then pumped up with some pre workout from @musclepharm and smashed out some chest and abs to finish off my Xmas eve. Did anyone else train today? . . . . . #christmaseve #gymlife #derrimuts #myday #gymtanlaundry #bodyboarders #fitnesslifestyle (at Geelong, Victoria) https://www.instagram.com/p/BrxF99EgdlV/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=xl3fjjguewd7

Goals (as of Aug 22): The Third!
Weight: The last time I wrote in this space, I wanted to be under 300 pounds by June. I can’t say I hit that target in June. It was August. But I will say, between May 24 and early August, I’m wearing a size 18, down from a 22. I am starting to notice a different shape coming on, and I weighed in at 295 recently. I’ve had a hard time losing the weight, but I am gaining muscle.
I know I’m not supposed to worry about the number on the scale for now, but at 295 pounds, I feel like I should be losing weight. I visited my primary care doctor this week, with the sole purpose of supervised weight loss and advice. She took my blood pressure, which was slightly higher than normal, and she said: “If you lose a bit of weight, that should get better.” Thanks for the advice, lady.
Going into September, I’d love to end the month in the 280s. And I’d like to have started seeing a nutritionist to help guide me a bit better.
Activity: I have been working out like a beast. Last post, I said I wanted to work out at least four days a week, and I’ve been hitting at least 5. I’ve tried classes at Fhitting Room. I’ve been taking spin classes, and doing Couch to 5K app occasionally. I’ve taken a few yoga classes. I feel much better when I’m exercising regularly, although I’ve had some issues with my knee that I’m trying to track.
Going into September, I’d like to plan my workouts a bit better. I’ve asked my trainer to help develop a plan with me, and I’ll try to write that out and post it as it comes together.
Etc.: I didn’t follow through on my reflection time. I was too busy working out. Or going to the beach. I have literally gone to the beach almost every weekend this summer, and I’m tan and beaming and I love it. I listened to one audiobook, “Matchmaking for Beginners” and I loved it.
Over the next month, I am going to Virginia for Labor Day, and Bangladesh for work. I want more beach time, I want more books, and I want to knock a few more things off my NYC bucket list. I didn’t get very far there, either. But I feel good about where things are going. :)
