He’d seen a lot despite his age. That could be the reason why everything tended to appear in monochrome to him. There was nothing exciting, yet nothing boring. A mere world in limbo, with everyone trying to find enjoyment or entertainment through the simplest things. It’s a shock he hadn’t went crazy yet, or maybe he already had and just didn’t realize it. “No one. The world is too boring, along with the people in it for my jaw to drop for anything honestly. Not even money can and I know that can make everyone’s jaw drop.” Shrugging his shoulders, he let out a yawn while he waited for her to be finished. “Can you hurry up though? My butt is hurting from sitting on this floor and I have a lot of cushion back there so that’s saying something.”

His answer wasn’t exactly one Joohyun had expected to hear. Certainly, most people or even all had something that would leave them awestruck. This didn’t seem to be the case with the male and it confused her. Still, she persisted in getting something out of him while still faced with her current task at hand. “You be patient.” She just ended up letting out a playful chuckle. She was nearly done, but of course, she wanted to mess with the male a little. Just a little bit. “Aww, come on.” The female now responded, her whining directed towards his earlier answer, which wasn’t the one she wanted to hear at all. “Not even just one thing? How about...an activity? Something you see other people do that leaves you at awe at how amazing it is?”

🍓 °  It’s not like she was even that outgoing of a person. She was extroverted when it came to performing or being a personality but in her off-time Chaeyeon usually kept to herself; maybe it was her poor excuse of a disguise or the darkness that loomed over them but suddenly words were spilling out of her mouth. Not expecting him to pay much attention to her, she figured it was better not to give the usual speech about his health — that was something everyone who smoked was likely immune to hearing. Stuffing her hands into the pockets of her hoodie, she took a step closer and looked at the way he hesitated, “It’s like inviting something toxic into your life and then letting it control you.” The girl’s eyes were laced with curiosity as they avoided his gaze and stared at the convertible instead.

she had a business meeting. or at least that’s what she told the nosy people who were curious as to where her whereabouts were heading to so early in the work day. and quite frankly, it wasn’t any of their business. she wasn’t there to contribute to their office gossip or tell humorous stories about the atrocious clients she would have to deal with from time to time; she was there to lead them, tell them what to do and raise her voice when it wasn’t completed. she was pretty good about doing that portion of her job; the lying and excuses were just something extra to make her seem more professional and involved.

and where was she going in all actually? to see someone, a certain someone who she described held an aura of maturity and was nothing like those rats she had to work with. he was the cliche set of three: cool, calm, and collected. and ultimately, she adored it. 

and when finally arriving at that sacred restaurant her beloved smirk only grew wider, taking notice of how he sat so peacefully when waiting for her late arrival. it was obvious too that she had just come straight from the office to meet him, a more casual form of attire dressing her body that seemed to be a perfect colour coordinated match to the black box she brought as something a little extra. gifts were easy for her to obtain, so she figured why not spoil him a little. 

“sorry i’m a little late, the security team was in a frenzy about something but i just couldn’t be bothered by it.” look at her, using manners. “you would think a team of well qualified degrees could be able to block any incoming attacks. they better hope it doesn’t piss my father off too much or he’ll be yelling at them for days.” and there it went, her lips already chattering away at the nonsense that accumulated her day. trust with such information was never an issue with him, after all what could he be storing it for anyway? 

“but on lighter news, i got you something.” she was referring to the box that had now been set onto the middle of the table, the 14k gold cuff links resting inside; she figured it would go well with the watch she was planning on getting him next time.

Kei was panicking. Though logic would suggest he probably wouldn’t harm her bunny, logic could sometimes be wrong. Her eyes were glued on the grey bunny that was currently being held hostage in his arms. It smiled back at her like it always did, not aware of its dire situation. “But that bunny’s my best friend! He’s innocent! Leave bunny out of this!” She dropped her gamecube controller on the couch and looked at him pleadingly. “There’s not much I can teach you. All I really do is button mash. It’s super smash brothers. It’s a game you get better with over time. I mean, what did you want me to tell you? What each button does?”
