ok im just thinking about gyro + dickie’s friendship history here goes (2ish years before canon)

dickie was entering her 2nd year of school at calisota state university when gyro went back for his 3rd PhD!

she was working as a barista on campus where gyro conveniently frequented, and after weeks and weeks of seeing this same guy at 7:13 am every single day, dickie wandered into a random empty lab to study for a test when she came across gyro doing some independent work in the back and she was like “oh hey its plain black coffee guy!!” and they ended up chatting and she watched him work for a bit and he explained some algebra to her and then the unlikely friendship formed.

gyro is weirdly comfortable around her and it makes everyone else who knows him uncomfortable. dickie thinks he’s very funny which confuses everyone. it’s a great match
