@gzw1689, I remember there was an ask meme you asked me some questions from, and one of them was about watching (or wanting to watch) an anime only because of a particular character. I didn’t have a direct answer to that question at the time, but I do now. That clip of Hatoko Kushikawa from When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace really makes me want to watch the anime.

I also remember you said I could ask something else for another ask meme about favourite things. So for that one: What is your favourite Star Wars film?

At this point, my favorite Star Wars film is easily The Last Jedi. I say “at this point” because I haven’t given the same level of attention or thought to the other Star Wars movies, and I really like what I did get out of The Last Jedi. The reason is that I’ve really only watched them in a disengaged manner.

I haven’t felt a very strong desire to rectify that, though, because the other Star Wars movies never really grabbed me that much. However, this could very well be a sort of self-perpetuated thing, where, because I wasn’t really tuned in, I may have missed or not processed things that might have grabbed me more.

Since seeing The Last Jedi, I have felt more interested in going back and trying to watch the other movies in a more engaged manner. It’s not very high on my to-do list, though. If/when I re-watch the other Star Wars movies, my favorite may change.

(I feel like this is kind of a poor answer, since it’s more about why the other Star Wars movies aren’t really a consideration when thinking about which one is my favorite, rather than why one stood out above the others for me. If you’re not happy with my answer, or were hoping for an answer that was more about why one stood out to me above the others, feel free to ask me another question about a favorite something.)

I just found out about something Sakura Quest-related that you might be interested in (just gonna copy/paste):

“My fave 2017 anime, [/i]Sakura Quest, has so far flopped in Japan. However, I would like to think that Sakura Quest Fest could help the home video sales here. That was a Periscope live stream where ADR director Caitlin Glass would have a breakfast-time with VA that were main or episodic characters for that week's dubbed episode. Fans submitted Twitter or e-mail messages to be answered with by the host and guest. SQF cover all 25 episodes. There are 2 versions: the Periscope live version and a longer version that is later added onto YT.”
