     Waking up in an empty room to a video explaining that he’d been ripped from his reality into some kind of experiment didn’t blow over well with Raiden. He’d slammed his hands onto the table, shouted at the screen, and even threw a chair or two but to no avail. If someone was watching him or listening in, they didn’t care about the things he said nor what he did. His words fell upon deaf ears.

     At the mention of a door and housing, he gave up on trying to reason with a blank screen and stepped outside. Here, in this sprawling city, Raiden was a nobody and he felt more alone than ever. With nothing but a wooden sword and the lightning that coursed through his synthetic body, he didn’t know what to do or where to go. Even with his visor snapping shut and the display flickering to life, he was lost, alone, and quite perturbed.

    Not to mention the blaring warnings that something was most definitely wrong about the readout flickering with broken information about the delicate systems housed deep within his chest. It wasn’t clear what had happened, but he could feel the disconnect and how much weaker he’d become. 

     District beta. That was supposed to be his        new home now. For better or for worse.
