Events For July
Hello everyone! We’ve got your events for this next month planned out and we’re excited for you all to come and enjoy them! They are not mandatory to participate in, but it’s a good chance to get your characters to interact with one another in a fun situation!
July 8-9: Pool Party and Fireworks Festival Come and try to beat the heat at the school’s pool! There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, sodas, and waters provided as refreshments throughout the day, as well as squirt guns for everyone to play with! Later in the evening, a fireworks display will be held. Perhaps you can watch it with your friends or someone special! If you post an outfit, be sure to tag it with ha:poolparty .
July 22-23: Summer Dance The Summer Dance is just around the corner! You can fly solo, go with friends, or ask someone as your date. The theme will be Under The Sea, so dress appropriately! If you post an outfit, be sure to tag it with ha:summerdance .
These events will have a chatzy room, the link being provided on the day of the event, as well as a recording doc for everyone to keep track of what’s going on. This will count as one post for the activity check once it’s been posted. If you have any questions about these events, or if you have any suggestions for future events, please let us know!
「 Georgia is a very simple gal. The first thing that popped into her mind when informed the dance had an under the sea theme were scallops and so she goes for scallops. It was surprisingly easy to find a scallop dress so she throws that on and a pair of vans. She opted to do something with her hair but votes against it, keeping them wild and unruly as ever. Even with her pins to keep her bangs from going everywhere, the waves of her hair were just too uncontrollable. 」
「 Ah, well. Waves were sea-themed, too. 」
⌜ ☆。.:*: – Gale has fond memories of the sea. Despite not knowing how to swim, he finds the vast waters to be therapeutic even if all he can do is admire it. So even if teachers don’t have to match the theme, Gale searches for his closet for a color that wasn’t black or gray or purple. He wanted something light blue, but he found something better. A sweater of sea green color-- perfect! He easily gets cold so even if he doesn’t wear his usual long coats or jackets, at least he’ll be warm enough to survive the night. If he’s lucky, he can just quietly eat and chaperone in peace. There were no pools this time around so he’s confident he’ll be safe for this event. Fingers crossed. ⌟
⌜ *ﾟ:*:✼✿ – Laney likes dressing up for events and since the summer festivities included a dress, she decides to be extra elegant. Her wardrobe was limited, but the white dress she had sort of looks like... a seashell? A pearl? A pearl in the ocean! A shade of blue might have been more appropriate for the theme, but this one didn’t seem so bad, too. ⌟
Frey was committed to going all out in green tonight. She already had the hair and eyes, all that was left was the outfit. She threw in together an emerald piece, a nice short dress and not-too-high, not-too-short heels for that extra reach while still being able to dance the night away. And for the finishing touch, a nice simple starfish clip for her hair that were freed from its usual twin tails.

𝓗𝓪𝓻𝓿𝓮𝓼𝓽 𝓐𝓬𝓪𝓭𝓮𝓶𝔂 𝓢𝓾𝓶𝓶𝓮𝓻 𝓓𝓪𝓷𝓬𝓮
Welcome everyone to the Harvest Academy Summer Dance! The theme is Under the Sea, and we hope to see some nicely themed outfits out there tonight! In terms of RP, the event will continue throughout the weekend until the end of Sunday, but will be taking place in character for only one night, which will be Saturday night. The dance “starts” at 7pm, so make sure to show up on time! The doors will close at 8pm and you won’t be able to come back in if you leave. There are free refreshments (waters, sodas, and juice), and free food (fish tacos, lobster mac n cheese, and Caesar salad). There are tables all set up around the gym for you to sit down and eat or relax at, and a beautiful stage with a dance floor right in front!
In order to vote for the King and Queen of the dance, be sure to send in an ask with your character’s name, as well as who they’re voting for! You can only vote once, and you can only vote if you’re a student, and the character you are voting for MUST be in attendance at the dance! The votes will be tallied at the end of Sunday and the winners will be announced on Monday. All teachers will be chaperones only and should be vigilant to keep and eye out for students staying at respectable distances and remaining appropriate.
The event will be taking place in the event discord. If you do not have an invite to it, one will be posted in the ooc discord under the announcements channel! A recording document will also be posted, so make sure to have someone recording at all times! Have fun everyone!
