what i’m doing instead: letting my noodles go cold while I use vaseline, friendly plastic and sis’ heatgun to figure out what to add to make half round eyes work in rainbow highs, the brown ones above are 16mm. minor problem: uh reheating the head without melting the friendly plastic.
Ok so what you’re looking at is a 17 by 14mm shape, more semi circle than oval with the eye “window” area in the top corner, X marks where the tearduct is. 12mm deep at the top, 10mm at the bottom. I could put in 16mm eyes that have been sanded down at the top to 14mm but they’d still need to lie on an uneven thick base and have some padding at the bottom lower corner. I’m gonna need thick white eye putty which means waiting.
I managed Willow’s eyes by carving up some fairly deep 18mm eyes to spec but the 18mm I ordered afterwards never arrived. hmm. proprietary eyes are a pain.
