Greta Isaac shares achingly beautiful track 'Polyfilla’
Greta Isaac returns with the achingly beautiful ‘Polyfilla’, and teases an upcoming EP project due early 2022. This follows on from her largest headline show to date, performing to a sold out Omeara, London last month.
"This song was pretty cathartic for me to write. I was going through a time in my life where I found myself surrounded by friends, family members, fleeting encounters that all seemed to be working through difficulties within themselves that stemmed from hereditary trauma and pain." says Greta Isaac about her newest offering ‘Polyfilla’. Contrasting her last single ‘5'1′, a scuzzy guitar track, ‘Polyfilla’ is a gut-wrenching ballad delivered over a reduced piano instrumental.
"I think there’s a point in everyone’s lives where you realise that growing up doesn’t just mean leaving home, making advances in your career or gaining independence or even starting a family of your own. A huge part of growing up is healing the child inside of us and accepting that we’re not superhuman. We’re not indestructible. We need care and boundaries. This song is for those who might be struggling with those feelings right now and how even in an adult state, there might be a vulnerable child within us that needs looking after.”
LMAO I need more people in my life to say “No saf, you dumbass, buy proper supplies! Consider the price vs the time you’ll use up trying to make a hacky solution work for you” but yeah getting air-dry clay types that work on plastic in france is very expensive and I've never sculpted before and probably won’t again.
So Drywall polyfilla does work but
you have to wait 10-20 minutes before touching it to get that sweet spot where it’s actually moldable. Anything before or after = crumble city
thicker bits don’t dry without cracking so you have to layer it and wait an hour etc, blabla very tedious: look at that lumpy cracked bootay
the mess is wild
I still don’t know how well this will take paint or glue or whatever. Whee.
With that said, sculpting fatness onto a skeletal doll is oddly healing, it looks comfy and pretty and soft. There’s no anger or pain in her fab flab. my moth is going to be a tubby healthy fluffy monster.
Day 86 - Polyfilla time.
Polyfilla for shoes needs to be a thing. I cant afford new walking boots, but I am literally so fed up of these beaten up ones with holes in them (-_-’)
Artist Uses Ordinary Drywall to Create Beautiful Wall Sculptures
Sometimes the mark of a true creative is their ability to make use of any medium to generate eye-catching artwork. Bernie Mitchell puts his unique brand of creativity to work as he constructs artistic murals out of nothing but drywall. The Canadian contractor currently lives and operates out of Ontario, drawing inspiration for his fantastic drywall creations from the beautiful natural surroundings of his country. Mitchell infuses a love of nature and animals into his work, transforming the walls of his clients into works of art.
For Mitchell, this line of work started off simply enough—he was first a professional drywall finisher before he began to experiment on the raised surfaces, making use of wheat and barley stalks and pieces of leather to fabricate intricate carvings. Today, Mitchell continues to offer his talents as a contractor but also has an unmatched affinity for creating speciality pieces. His preferred subjects are birds, and his subtle carvings bring a certain element of flair to an otherwise dull section of wall.

I am incredibly emotional about this, despite the fact that my absolutely maddening adoration for the four most famous goobers in the world is only about two months old. The trouble is, they make me so stupidly and blissfully happy, no matter what is bugging me, which is a feeling that I have truly never experienced with anything. I really don’t know what I am going to do without the knowledge that every day I can get on tumblr and see something new that they’ve done on command, and I suppose I’ll survive, but I just wanted to get this off my chest. Above all, the past two months have taught me that there is nothing more fulfilling and important than taking yourself less seriously and embracing what you love. If nothing else. I will always have that.
Anyway, me and @polyfilla are gonna pour many out tonight and I am going to do my best not to weep and instead pray that the next year flies by.
