it'll start with a "hi" and the hacker/scammer will claim they accidentally reported your acc.

i have screenshots taken by the original acc owner of the messages they received from the hacker/scammer!!! (u can also see it's from another hacked acc, a mutual of artinandwritin's hence why they answered!!)

please be wary if you get a message from her acc!!! and rb this to spread the word!!

They're posing as your moots and making fake screenshots with your username in the fake message that was supposedly sent to them and tells u they lost the account from it if u look closely u will see "your" username is altered at the end of it

this is how u get hack. They send links from a lawyer on discord DO NOT fall for it

Okay, I think I need to address here too

A couple days ago, my art twitter account got hacked, I received a DM like the one bellow, claiming I had scammed them and they had reported my account for fraudulent activity; and they directed me to what one can assume is a twitter support account, in order to lift the report. I sadly fell for the trick and the one who got my account is asking for a ton of money to "bring back my account back"

As it is today, my account is now up and running again but the hacker is now using the same stunt to drag people into falling into the scam while using my name and identity

So please, if you guys get a DM like this, wether you are a moot or not; or even by anyone else, DO NOT REPLY TO THEM

Also, I suggest blocking and reporting the hacker's account for safety precautions

Please boost this around, if you know someone who has gotten a DM like the ones shown, again DO NOT REPLY TO THEM

🚨SCAM PSA🚨

Hey guys!! Just wanted to let you all be aware that there’s a scam going around where a hijacked account of a follower/mutual reaches out to you claiming that they accidentally reported you. They’ll try to get you to contact a discord account where they get you to switch your email for your Tumblr to one you don’t control. DON’T FALL FOR IT.

During the ~20 hours my other account, @/zeeboomblebee, was held hostage, I created this account. I’ve honestly been meaning to start Tumblr fresh anyway for organization reasons, so it was kinda the push I needed and a silver lining that came out of it ig. So that’s what this new account is all about haha.

Tumblr will never ask you to reach out to support by using a third party app such as Discord! Tumblr will never ask you to change your account details (such as email/password) to something you don't control. If someone reaches out to you asking for you to do that, it is a scam!! Also, ALWAYS be cautious the moment someone requests you send money (or sensitive IRL info) on the internet. I got suspicious the moment this was asked so while I lost my Tumbir account for a while I fortunately didn't lose anything more important.

Scammer has looked at me

Already got an off feeling when they asked if I had a second account. And that feeling screamed when they asked if it had the same name.

Just so everyone knows, this is a scam. Other people have been getting this, seeing others posts about it made me aware and I want other people to be aware too. And people have been falling for it, hence why this account looks normal. This WAS a normal account. But they fell for it and got hacked and now their account is being used to hack others. Like a necromancer using their murder victim to gain the trust of more potential victims.

Don't believe them. Don't click any links they send. Don't go to any other sites they ask you to go to. I immediately blocked them after they sent that large wall of text. Of which was too short a time to type out, so they have that shit in some digital notebook to copy + paste. Be aware, be safe. It's most likely nothing will happen to your account just by them messaging you.
