Steve wasn't usually used for rescue missions. Usually it was spy work and he wasn't what most people chose when they were looking for a spy. He was already known as Captain America since 1940, he wore a flag uniform and stuck out like a sore thumb. But with Hydra infiltrating SHIELD and being found as within its ranks, suddenly he was the primary pick for a rescue mission because he was the easiest to be trusted. No one thought Captain America would betray them.

That's why he was sent to collect MI6's tech guy and weapons specialist. He was specifically chosen to help their partnering company by SHIELD, and so he was in the flag uniform and he was standing against Hydra once more. It hadn't taken him long to get through the facility that housed the kidnapped Q. He stood his ground and fought anyone that had gotten in between him and his rescue. Now he stood staring at what had been a captive for a solid week at most.

He would have gotten there sooner but the Hydra agents had been traveling to keep Shield from finding them. However it seemed they had stuck to a centralized location for longer than a day and now he was able to find them. Standing with a bunch of Hydra agents fallen to the floor and incapacitated by his attacks, Steve looked at the guy he was rescuing.

"Q, Right? "

Sitting on the edge of the bed Cam was presently sprawled, Ben's fingers had steadily gotten closer and closer to the Scotman's hair until he was twirling the strands around his fingers. "Are you growing it out?" He asked quietly, not wanting to break the tranquil atmosphere of the room, but Ben was not good at just existing.

He was trying to read, focus on his book. His doctor had told him to organise moments of quiet throughout his day. Actually.. it was nice.

Ben's fingers were a little distracting, but also relaxing.

"Uh, aye." He grinned up at Ben. "I had one of those moments that I realised I actually have bodily agency, or sumthin'."

This is the last time she goes out. The last time. The very last time! 

All she wanted was some ice cream. Like is that a lot to ask? Really? Truly? Mel does her best to quell the crash out that was brewing as she really came to terms with the idea that the day had gone to hell. 

She’s not entirely sure of what had happened. One moment she had been thinking about topics and the next there was popping, a lot of noise outside the store, the sound of glass breaking and she was suddenly under a table. 

Her next thought is to attempt to help, as carefully as she can, Mel attempts to peer around him, trying to ignore the stranger's attempts to stop her. “I’m a doctor-” Mel protests quietly as she tries to figure out if the dangers past or if something worse is coming. “I can help.”

“Deal changed th’ moment your man decided to activate the silo. Just count it lucky we even got a scrap left.” He’s already tossing over the flash drive, frowning. It was probably far from the full blueprint order but time hadn't been on their side to go any deeper. 

Soap had to hand it to them, rigging the missile silos to blow like that was creative. Annoying that nearly ended up being them. 

He was beginning to hate when his orders seemed to coincide with having to work with MI6... 

“Your boss’s informant ‘s nae comin’ home for dinner anytime soon either. Know Tanner’s got opinions ‘bout that one but leaks gotta get plugged and well he decided to plug ‘imself.” He rolled his shoulders and grunted. “Friggen hate this mess...”
