Insane News for Nintendo Fans:

They have created a a patch to make your own console you spent $400 of your own money on NOT WORK

Folks online have reported getting their consoles early but they can’t even play them or set them up due to a patch update on day 1 essentially meant to unbrick the device…

The reality of this means that if Nintendo chooses to do so, they lock the console and brick it and block any user from access to use said console or game or service for any reason at any time.

In fact, we saw something similar to this with the release of the Xbox one, where it required a day one update in order to even use the console.

You don’t own your device.

Nintendo owns it.

You’re paying to essentially rent the console. To rent the games. Local-Hacking? Bricked. Modding? Bricked. Third-party devices? Bricked.

If there’s any takeaway here, brands are becoming more and more greedy to consumers and media control and censorship is about to be at an all time high.

Bootleg everything. Pirate everything. And archive what you can. I fear the loss of current modern-day media will be catastrophic.
