An AU in which Galen and Siobhan aren’t separated after Hogwarts! Instead, Galen decides to drop everything he’s had planned and travel with Siobhan around the world to the different dragon sanctuaries to see her teach and do her research. He says he can always pick up where he left off when he gets back, but Hadrian isn’t so sure; he tells Galen that he might regret such a big decision, but Galen knows that he can’t regret anything if he does it with Siobhan by his side 💙

The Christmas of Galen’s third year and Hadrian’s seventh year at Hogwarts was a tough one. They’d gone home for the holidays, expecting to play games and sing carols with their beloved mother. But on Christmas Eve, Elspeth fell gravely ill. Her sons stayed with their generous neighbour whilst she was in hospital, but they couldn’t keep their minds away from the thought that she might die. Hadrian took on the role of protector and caretaker of Galen, making sure his little brother’s needs were met before his own. But one night, the reality hits them that they might end up not having a mother anymore and what will they do then? They couldn’t fend for themselves- not yet, anyway- and they didn’t want to go back to Ireland to live with their aunt because Warwick was now their home. With heavy hearts and frightened minds, Galen and Hadrian could only hope for the best and pray that fortune favoured them...
