Eric Venue is an actor, producer, playwright, composer, and poet. He is popular and his name carries weight, especially in the wold famous crowd. He is determined to be the best of his trade and he strives to new heights consistently. Eric has colors closer to a traditional Peacock versus Vil's more vivid and unique colors, yet is still named as one of the most attractive bachelors in the movie industry.

Despite the many fan clubs he has, Eric has never deigned to remarry and lives happily single. He is content with his life, but he works hard to potentially provide an even better life for Vil- despite Vil being able to provide for himself- and is extremely attuned to Vil's wellbeing. His son means the world to him in almost every way, shape, and form.

Eric has heard all about the Human from Vil and has his own mental image of the Human. Meeting the Human and actually internalizing everything they have done to help Vil- and encountering their addictive nature first-hand- has made him realize that he wants Vil to marry the Human. He desperately wants the Human to look at Vil the same way he looks at them. Vil has a wounded and storied past thanks to his almost isolating removal from normal kids his age, and Eric knows Vil's standards are impossible to meet for anyone else. Somehow, this adorable and soft Human has completely smitten Vil and Eric loves that for his son. He is willing to do whatever it takes to get the Human and Vil together.

Eric would laugh in good humor and good nature before saying "I get that a lot" and give that award winning smile of his.

It is more than obvious where Vil gets his good looks and strong personality from. It is also more than obvious that Vil gets his mean streak from his mother. Eric can be firm and is known as a perfectionist demon to many, but Eric is genuinely good natured to and doesn't enjoy being mean simply to be mean. He pushes others to be better because he can see them as their better selves and he wants them to see it too. Vil tends to be more catty than Eric, but Eric has decades on Vil in experience and in shaping him to be more even tempered.

Vil will age as beautifully as Eric and the two could easily be a power duo if Vil would only deign to be in a movie with his father. Vil refuses to hang on Eric's coattails as a legacy hire when it comes to movies, preferring to carve his own name, so he refuses to act with his father.

Vil and Eric conspire to kidnap and brood over the Human-turned-child together. Eric is already in his broody mode the second he is around someone young, wanting to be the best father he can be. Vil is also broody, but is conflicted. He loves the Human when they are in their full adult form, he feels fatherly over them when they revert to a child. He struggles to parse the two, so Eric takes the lead in actually parenting the little Human, happy to have a child that acts like a child.

Because the Human is around the same age Vil was when his mother turned on him, Eric never really got to see Vil as an actual child, the trauma and early acting career completely taking away his ability to be a father to young Vil. He is making up for lost time by parenting the Human.

Divus, Sam, Vargas, Trein, and Crowley are FURIOUS the Harpies managed to sneak off with the Human-turned-child and are exceedingly jealous about it. Only Trein really has experience rearing children out of the staff and he is eager to impart that wisdom. Divus can agree to co-parent with Eric when he sees how truly and desperately Eric wants to have this experience and how he was robbed of it with Vil.

Trein is alright being relegated to grandfather just as Vargas and Sam are alright being uncles.

Stunningly, Crowley is the best playmate and is thrilled to run around with his chick and play the typical nonsense games children come up with. If anything, it further convinces Crowley that he wants to keep the Human as his child. He and Eric take turns watching over the Human-turned-child while they sleep.

Vil views this all as practice for when he finally has his own chicks when the Human turns back into an adult. He cherishes these moments dearly and wonders how it would be taking care of his own chicks.

Only as problematic as bagging Lilia and Silver. The two older men- Papa Hades and Eric- are more hesitant because they would rather Idia and Vil get the Human instead, but if the Human truly wanted them and their elders, they aren't really going to argue. Vil and Idia will be salty having to share with their respective father/ancestor and may even get performance anxiety regarding how they compare in bed to their much more experienced elders. Both Papa Hades and Eric are experienced gentlemen and have skills their youngers do not, so this will be a source of anxiety for the two younger.

(fun fact; Idia is older than Eric, but because Shinigami age differently, he is still considered the same age and maturity range as Vil)

Vil has already warned his father about Rook. Rook is Vil's closest friend and he will tell his father all about the strange Drider that likes to take trophies when he can find them. Eric puts locks on their trashcans with the express purpose of keeping the odd Drider out of his bins. It doesn't stop Rook, but Eric finds the unusual Drider to be amusing and refreshingly honest about his tendencies. Plus, Rook is Vil's friend, and Eric values that.
