I’ve been kind of wondering about the Staff +Hades) as Grandparents to the Human’s kids. What are they like? (Great Great whatever Grandpa Hades?)

Trein is an Excellent grandfather, but does show a clear preference and greater patience for the girls. He is a girl dad and he adores the little ladies that his precious cub has brought into the world. You will see him sitting while braiding their hair and helping show them how to style their hair in different ways. He is the ultimate girl-grandpa and will have extreme patience with them. He is less patient with the boys and more strict with them because he is so sensitive to any of the girls getting teased (gently) by their male siblings/half-siblings. All the kids listen to him most of the time and his voice is just soothing enough for nap-time stories.

Divus is already a territorial male towards younglings. His precious Puppy's young? He is exceedingly territorial and will not hesitate to put the Harem yanderes in their place. He is the swimming instructor and ensures all the species can swim even if they won't be swimming often. He is also an incredible napping spot and will allow them to nap along his seal form. Any time the Human seems overwhelmed or stressed, he steps in as the fun grandpa and keeps the babies amused so the Human can nap.

Vargas is naturally compelled to be protective and territorial of any young in his herd. The fact that there is a literal herd of younglings puts him into overdrive. The ungulate species (centaur, cervitaur, Satyr/Fawn) will gather around him and go on perimeter patrols with him. Even if he doesn't exactly understand what it means to be a grandparent figure to them, he will still try and be very protective of them.

Crowley never sees the younglings as grown-up no matter how old they are. He is constantly trying to incubate and protect them. He has always wanted chicks of his own, so he gravitates towards Vil and Neige's chicks to an extreme. He eventually gets as bad as Vil when it comes to trying to take and keep the chicks. It never works out well for him because the actual fathers are FURIOUS Crowley dare to take them. Before they hatch, Crowley attempts to steal and incubate all of the egg species (Harpy, Merfolk, Naga, ect) at least once. He tried once to take the Dragon Hatchlings- as they hatched near immediately after they were delivered due to how much the Human loves them- and he almost became a deep-fried bird.

Sam is more of a great-uncle than a grandfather. Does he spoil every single one of those kids? Yes. Yes he does. He is the fun and chill great-uncle who is happy to entertain the niblings any time he is around them. As one of the very few species that has to cook food, he can also cook for them and make one heck of a meal. The kids all know Grunkle Sam is one of the best baby-sitters because he is funny and fun. Sam will not hesitate to kill anyone who looks at them and he will fight to the death to protect them.

Hades is the most protective out of all the "Grandparents". Even though the young are half-Human, they still soothe his addiction an extreme amount. He has seen what other species are willing to do to Humans and Half-Humans, so he refuses to let that happen to any of these ones. If he had his way, they would all live on the Isle of Woe where he can protect and shelter them from the less than friendly beasts of the world. He is EXTREMELY protective of Charon- Idia's kid- and will enter his Hellbeast form if anything threatens the younglings or the Human.

Ambrose is honored to be included. He loved a Human woman before their extinction and has never really recovered from losing her. To be around the Half-Humans soothes his heart and soul to the point he is almost mute with tears. He will cry the first time he gets to hold one of the little ones and from that day on he has a "World's best Grandpa!" mug. He does make being a Grandpa to the Half-Humans his entire personality for a bit so long as he is allowed to interact with them. They warm his heart and make him feel like he has a family again.

Other than saying something along the lines of "I want you to fuck me," is there anything that the reader could do to get the professors to understand that they want to date them? Like, I know some people see a small peck on the lips as a platonic action, would they it see the same way?

Also, how would a polyamorous route with the professors go?

An old ask I felt like answering minus the last question because that would need its own post.

What the Human would need to do/say to each of the Mature Yanderes to make them realize the Human wants them romantically: (including Clay and Papa Hades)

~Crowley~

"Would you ever want half-Human chicks with me? Because I would be fine with having them for you."

Saying this makes his entire brain freeze in place as he registers the fact you DO NOT see him as your father, but a father to chicks you may have with him. It will take a bit of mental gymnastics for him to finally reach the conclusion that he can't have you as a child, but he can certainly have you as a lover.

Kissing him on the lips or grooming his wing feathers will also yield about the same result, as such things are typically reserved for lovers (excepting helping a chick deal with wing pinfeathers, then it is a parental and platonic interaction).

~Trein~

"I've heard you have three daughters, feel like having a few more with me?"

It is much more difficult to get Trein on board with mating the Human for the fact that Trein is a seasoned parent and tends to see almost everyone with that parental lens. Not even chaste kisses will yield much from Trein as he is a Sphinx and gentle nose-bumps, kisses, biting, and laying on top of one another is seen as more commonplace platonic behavior than it is romantic. You would have to be very straightforward and direct about your interests for him to pick up the hint.

~Divus~

(Seal form, keep in mind he does have a Humanoid form that looks almost identical to canon with different cone teeth and the design of his fur coat)

Kiss him. A full kiss on the lips in his Humanoid form will immediately tell his brain that you are interested in romance and not platonic relationship. It will not work if you kiss his snoot while he is in seal form, as seals often touch noses with their friends, partners, and pups. Out of seal form is the way to go.

Similar to Trein, laying on him in seal form, snuggling his fur out of seal form, and cuddling in either form is considered regular social interaction, not inherently romantic. If you want romance with the Selkie, you have to make it clear to him.

~Vargas~

"You're big into protecting calves. If you're half as interested in protecting your mate, I would be safe for life having a calf or two with you."

As a bull who is territorial and protective, Vargas is likely to put everyone he protects in the same category so he can keep track of them. Once the Human makes it clear they see him in a romantic light is when a new category is made; mate. Suddenly, the safety of the rest of the herd falls to the wayside so he can focus on keeping his mate safe. He is both honored and terrified to be chosen by the Human as a mate and has already forgotten any paternal feelings for romantic ones.

~Sam~

"... Do you think a child between the two of us could stand sunlight, or would they need to stay enshrouded like you?"

The suggestion of even having a child with him gets Sam's brain running at incredible speeds as he works out your interest. It doesn't take long for him to realize that you are more interested in having him as lover instead of a parent and he will easily fall into romantic territory. He still will keep you safe and protect you, but he is doing it more out of romantic interest instead of platonic.

~Clay~

"You could always make me part of your troupe as a mate instead of a wayward child."

He's probably gonna fumble his weapons when you say this and stare at you in surprise. He had been under the impression that you preferred the adult students as mates- seeing as you technically were one- over the professors, but he won't argue. If you want him to be your mate, you have to be forward about it and TELL HIM as Yeti are a very social and physical species that sees most physical contact as social interaction. He can be your mate, you just have to let him know.

~Papa Hades~

"Don't get me wrong, Idia is very sweet. I'm just more interested in the original Shroud. Why choose the younger when the ancestor is readily available?"

You're going to make him laugh. Genuinely. He is laughing in a mixture of surprise and genuine adoration because of how interested you have to come across to make him realize you want him as a lover and not a father figure. Cheesy pick-up lines will also hint to him your interests. If you truly want him, he is yours. What better way to feed his crippling addiction to you than by indulging in intimacy with you? It is the greatest dose of aura that any of them can get.

Do you think any of the HaE guys could notice the human's Blaschko's lines? (Like, the super secret stripes we all have?) I just feel like it'd be a fun lol quirk for any of the guys to have

Sam sees them, and he thinks they are lovely.

Rook sees them and loves to trace them with his eyes. He would spend hours trailing his fingers over them if the Human let him.

Epel can also see them and he takes great interest in them. He thinks they are like tree rings and loves the way they look.

Jamil sees them and loves the natural patterning.

Vil and Eric conspire to kidnap and brood over the Human-turned-child together. Eric is already in his broody mode the second he is around someone young, wanting to be the best father he can be. Vil is also broody, but is conflicted. He loves the Human when they are in their full adult form, he feels fatherly over them when they revert to a child. He struggles to parse the two, so Eric takes the lead in actually parenting the little Human, happy to have a child that acts like a child.

Because the Human is around the same age Vil was when his mother turned on him, Eric never really got to see Vil as an actual child, the trauma and early acting career completely taking away his ability to be a father to young Vil. He is making up for lost time by parenting the Human.

Divus, Sam, Vargas, Trein, and Crowley are FURIOUS the Harpies managed to sneak off with the Human-turned-child and are exceedingly jealous about it. Only Trein really has experience rearing children out of the staff and he is eager to impart that wisdom. Divus can agree to co-parent with Eric when he sees how truly and desperately Eric wants to have this experience and how he was robbed of it with Vil.

Trein is alright being relegated to grandfather just as Vargas and Sam are alright being uncles.

Stunningly, Crowley is the best playmate and is thrilled to run around with his chick and play the typical nonsense games children come up with. If anything, it further convinces Crowley that he wants to keep the Human as his child. He and Eric take turns watching over the Human-turned-child while they sleep.

Vil views this all as practice for when he finally has his own chicks when the Human turns back into an adult. He cherishes these moments dearly and wonders how it would be taking care of his own chicks.

Sam in his Daylight and Nightlight forms. He is a Shadow person, so he is very sensitive to sunlight. Even moonlight can hurt him. He came from a land permanently enshrouded in darkness, so his magic is able to create shadows that keep him safe during the day and under the light of the moon.

Shadow people have similar reproductive cycles as Humans, so Sam feels a certain level of responsibility to help the Human. On top of adoring the Human, Sam feels like he has to look out for them and make sure they have everything they need while at NRC. Despite how strict Sam can be about his prices and about anyone trying to take from the school store, he will happily let the Human take whatever they want. He is very indulgent of them and their wishes, feeling rather protective of them.

How freaked out do you think the staff would be if human showed some romantic interest in Malleus?

Extreme stress and frustration.

Stress because Malleus is dangerous despite how tame he may behave around the Human. They worry that- should anything happen- Malleus might kill the Human in a fit of rage. Besides, the two of them being together means that the Human leaves for Briar Valley and never comes back. They can't handle the idea of that happening. They have formed such a strong parental bond towards the Human they see as their collective child, most even admiring how well the Human navigates the notoriously ill tempered and cunning students.

Frustration because they can truly do nothing to stop it. They can't compare to Malleus in strength, very few can. Even their own instincts scream at them that the Dragon is the apex predator of the school, far above all others in strength. If he wanted to take the Human away from them, he could. The thought of this kills them inside.

Trein understands the feeling as pure parental affection, seeing the Human as his own cub and has already told his daughters endlessly about them. Divus is a young Selkie who owns and trains dalmatians, he has never felt such a strong desire to protect someone like he feels for his Human pup. Sam is young and just out of his home in the Midnight lands, yet he feels like he he has a younger sibling to watch over now, a new little imp to take under his protection. Vargas is such a proud bull and adores his little calf, wanting to be the protector and knowing he can serve that kind of a support role for them.

Crowley feels extremely responsible for the Human and would be so very stressed without them at the school. Dating Malleus means they leave the school, but he refuses to let that be the end of it. His last Human was taken from him- for good reason- and he is finally being given another chance. He knows the Human addiction well and has had a certain obsessed fascination with them since he was a young Fae boy reading about Humans in his books. He understands that he needs to play his cards properly and establish himself as their father so Malleus will be willing to allow the Crow Harpy to visit with the Human. They may not be in the school, but he can still be around his precious chick. He also understands Malleus could extend the Human's life, which means he gets to be around them for the remainder of his life.
