“Hello, this is-”
“I’m lost.”
You were silent for a moment. “But you can use google maps?”
“That’s not helpful.”
You made a face, “What-”
“Trust me, I tried,” he defended.
You stared at the stack of papers on your desk and the unfinished excel sheet on your computer. ‘It’s due by the end of the day’ your boss had warned, giving you a thick file. ‘Hey, you don’t mind doing this for me, right?’ your coworker shrugged, sliding more papers onto your desk. ‘I was wondering if you were finished with the sheet yet,’ the intern sheepishly asked. So many things to do and your husband with the worst sense of direction just had to get lost now?
“Where are you?” you murmured.
“I’m near the gym.”
“That’s very helpful,” you deadpanned.
“The one where we first met.”
You wanted some frozen yogurt. Was it the best idea? Maybe not. You sped up the treadmill, turning your gaze away from the empty cafe calling your name.
“Ignore the urge,” you told yourself, adding even more speed to the treadmill. However, you looked back at the blinking open sign, unaware of the way a certain pink haired boy who stared in your direction.
“Are they looking?” Jeno asked, swinging another right hook at the punching bag.
Jaemin, who held the bag, followed your line of sight. He didn’t think you were looking at Jeno. “uhm, yeah, they are,” Jaemin lied.
Jeno stopped and looked at you, “Really?” His eyes widened when he saw you walking towards him. He felt his heart speed up, nervousness crawling up his throat. “What do I say?” he panicked.
“Hey-” You didn’t pay him any mind, walking right past him as your hands tapped into your pocket for your rewards card.
Jaemin bursted out laughing as Jeno stood there in confusion and embarrassment. He then hit his friend on the shoulder, “You told me they were looking!”
“Yeah, they were looking,” Jaemin whined, rubbing the sore spot, “they were looking at the frozen yogurt sign.”
Jeno stared disdainfully at the pink haired boy. “You knew what I meant!”
Jaemin rolled his eyes, “Just go offer to buy them yogurt stupid!”
“Nana was quite a wingman,” you mused, remembering how the pink haired boy approached you, pulling a shy, sweaty Jeno from behind him.
“I guess I’m thankful for him,” your husband muttered.
You chuckled, “Make sure to turn right when you see that green building with those chandeliers that shine through the tinted windows.”
“Wait, didn’t we have our first date there?”
He pulled the seat out for you.
The two of you sat in silence. He didn’t know what to say and he wasn’t sure if he was flabbergasted from the prices of a single dish or just how stunning you looked in your outfit. He decided on the latter and let the compliment slip from his lips. You smiled appreciatively at him muttering a quiet, ‘thank you’ before hiding behind the menu.
You tried not to cry out about the prices displayed to your eyes. You would’ve been just fine going down to the cafe down the street. Your friend worked there and could surely give you a discount.
At the same time, the two of you placed down your menus.
“I was-”
“Do you-”
The both of you chuckled and said at the same time, “You go first.”
He gestured towards you, “Please, I insist.”
You shook your head, “I don’t mind.”
For a moment the two of you stared at each other, gazes locked and waiting for the other to break.
“Are you ready to order?” the waiter interrupted, standing by the table with a courteous smile.
“A few more minutes, please,” Jeno politely told him. With a nod, the waiter left. Once the guy was out of sight Jeno sighed, “I heard the cafe down the street is pretty good. What do you say we leave this place?”
“What was his name, Mark?” Jeno hummed, “his latte was pretty cool, and he gave it for free. Didn’t he also give us that cake half off?”
“Yeah, I’m sure our total was the price of one dish at that other place,” you snorted, voice getting a little louder.
“You make fun of that place, but I proposed to you there,” Jeno reminded.
You beamed at the ring on your finger, “I know. Everyone got a free meal that day because you fooled them into thinking that they mixed up the ring in the wrong plate of food.”
Jeno laughed, “I genuinely thought they did. Just turns out I never gave it to them.”
“You’re an idiot,” you smiled, rolling your eyes at the memory of the fretful faces of the restaurant staff.
“Your idiot, yes,” he cheekily grinned.
“Whatever,” you rolled your eyes, although he couldn’t see you, “two miles down, you’ll make a left and you’ll pass by the furniture store.”
“I am suggesting things to buy but you keep shutting them down!” you pointed out, arms crossed over your chest.
“That’s because the things you want are not what we need!” Jeno retorted, posture mirroring yours.
“Everything that I have showed you was apart of the list we made-” you heaved out a heavy sigh, “you know what, whatever, we’ll just split this list in half and you get what you think is best and I’ll get what I think is best.”
You tore the sheet in half. “Deal,” he frowned, taking a piece from you, “meet back here in thirty minutes.”
You stomped away, analyzing all the items on your list. You angrily passed by the black nightstand that Jeno deemed would look good in your shared bedroom. You scoffed at the ugly cat vase that he disagreed was cute. You rolled your eyes at the silly sky painting he wanted to hang in the living room.
Somehow, thirty minutes later, you found yourself putting back all the items you thought were better than the ones that Jeno wanted. Each item was set back down in their respective places and you took the black nightstand, thinking that you could admire the way Jeno’s arms flexed as he builds the piece of furniture. You took the ugly cat vase and remembered that this would have to do until the two of you were ready to get your own cat. You took the sky painting, keeping in mind that if you were to allow him to get this, then he would have to agree on getting the pretty lake painting in aisle five.
You sat on the couch in your meeting spot, rehearsing how you’d apologize for disregarding everything he wanted simply because you had your own things in mind.
“You’re cuter, you know,” he softly smiled sitting next to you, “I can live without that cat vase.”
Your smile matched his, “The grey led mirror isn’t all that, I don’t mind using the bathroom.”
Jeno placed his hand on your knee, thumb rubbing soothing circles, “I’m sorry.”
“I’m sorry too,” you sighed, taking his hand and pressing a kiss to his knuckles, “we can get the sky painting as long as we also get the lake painting.”
Jeno dangled it in front of you, “You got yourself a deal.”
“Our first argument in public,” he recalled.
“I can’t believe I fought with you because I didn’t like that cat vase.”
“Petty things, but that’s what makes us human, right?”
You leaned back in your chair, “I love you.”
“Thank you.”
You glared at the framed photo lying on your desk, his lips pressed against your cheek, arm secured around your waist. “I’m going to hang up.”
“That’s fine.”
You gawked, not bothering to make a sound before you ended the call. Not a second later did you remember that you didn’t give him the last set of instructions to your work. With a grumble, you reached back for your phone, stomach growling. You deserved an ‘I love you’ back and some food.
“Huh,” a voice muttered from behind you, “you really did hang up.”
You swiveled around, phone dropping from your hand. Jeno stood with a bag of food in one hand and his phone held up by the other. His eyes curved with his mouth as he stared at your shocked face.
He walked towards you, placing the food on your desk, “I called you when I was already in the parking lot.”
You squinted your eyes, “You mean to tell me that I could’ve started eating my lunch earlier?”
He rubbed the top of your head, “Yep.”
You slapped away his hand and opened up the bag. He pulled up a chair next to you and watched in amusement as you excitedly opened up the bag. Once again, his hand was slapped away when it tried to reach in and take some of your food. “No,” you frowned, turning your chair so the back was facing him “you don’t get any because you didn’t say I love you too.”
He chuckled at your childish actions and turned the chair to face him again. Jeno pulled your wheeled chair closer to him. You clutched onto the bag of food in your lap, hating how your heart still skipped a beat whenever he looked at you.
“I love you too,” he softly said, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
You felt your stomach flip. God, you’ll never get tired of hearing that. You lightly pushed his chest, “Whatever.” Jeno wanted to coo at how you failed to keep down your shy smile, but he bit his tongue, keeping silent as you turned back to your desk and unpacked the food.
“If you knew where to go, why did you call?” you asked, taking the fries out of the bag.
“I told you I was lost,” he shrugged, happily opening is mouth in hopes you’d feed him.
“Lost in my eyes?” you guessed. You offered a fry toward’s Jeno’s open mouth before quickly snatching it back when he moved forward to take a bite. With a wide smile, you ate it instead.
“Something like that,” he pouted.
You smiled cheekily and offered him another fry. “And google maps wouldn’t have helped?”
Jeno gratefully accepted the fry, chomping happily, “No, it would not.”
“And why is that?” you asked, placing a fry into your mouth.
Your husband took a napkin and wiped the corner of your mouth, “Because it doesn’t know the road to your heart.”
hi!! could i request a fic with jeno as your bestfriend where he secretly has a crush on you gets really jealous and protective when a guy hits on you in public and ask for your number? tqsm!!
[1:34 pm] “man, there’s something wrong with my phone,” the guy with blue hair frowned, staring at the rectangle in his hand. “ahh, I know,” he turned to you, “it doesn’t have your number.”
for the past five minutes that jeno has been waiting for the drinks, that guy, who introduced himself as jaemin, had been non-stop talking to you, throwing pick-up line after pick-up line. jeno glanced back at your amused face (with eyes screaming ‘help me’) and jaemin’s charming smile. it’s like when jeno went up to the counter, that guy took it as his queue to shoot his shot.
jeno swallowed his urge to gag at the boy’s words and sighed when the person in front of him finally stopped complaining about their drink. “here is your-”
“thanks.” jeno didn’t spare anymore time, quickly taking the drinks from the barista and making his way back to you.
“sorry it took so long,” he told you, handing you your drink. he then slung an arm around you which made you choke in the middle of your drinking, “let’s go darling.”
with his arm still around you, he pulled you out of the cafe, dragging you off to where that jaemin guy was not. he frowned, unaware of the way you stared at him curiously.
you cleared your throat, “you know, jen, you can’t just joke around like that.”
he didn’t look at you, eyes cloudy as he stared ahead. the way you laughed at one of jaemin’s jokes replayed in his mind, “joke about what?”
“that you’re my boyfriend.”
he sipped his drink. his frown deepened and he hugged you tighter as he recalled how you refused to tell jaemin that you had a boyfriend. if you told him that, then he would’ve surely gone away. “who said I was joking?”
you stopped walking, and so did he. jeno still didn’t look at you, his words dawning on him. he swallowed and he turned at you, eyes blinking away his jealous daze.
“you really shouldn’t joke like that,” you whispered, eyes focused on him. well, there was no holding back now. he removed his arm from around you and leaned towards you. “it’s not a joke, y/n.”
pride filled his eyes when he saw you simply blinked at him, mouth slightly agape. his thumb brushed over your cheek, “how cute.”
“be quiet,” you muttered, turning your gaze away.
he leaned in closer, breath fanning yours as he slightly tilted his head, “make me.”
the dreamies stared at him, each of their minds flashing over your visit.
-
you walked over to the boy who was playing on the keyboard. he sat with his headphones plugged in, voice singing quietly as he played. you noticed the journal with messy scribbles that sat on his stand.
“I don’t mean to interrupt, I was trying to find the bathroom, jeno gives such bad directions,” you shook your head, “anyways, I just wanted to say you have a beautiful voice.”
he stared at you for a little bit before smiling, “you must be the girl that’s been stealing jeno from us!”
“um, yeah, my name is y/n,” you chuckled.
“donghyuck, and it’s okay, we didn’t really miss him anyways,” he shrugged.
“oh?”
he laughed, “nah, I’m just kidding, you allow him to spend much more time with us than his last girlfriend, but we don’t talk about her.”
“okay,” you said, unsure of how exactly to reply to that.
“hey, you’re a pair of fresh eyes...what do you think about these lyrics,” he asked, showing you a verse.
“it’s okay to give me your honest opinion,” he added.
“honestly? I think it sounds like you got it from the internet.”
he pouted, “that’s what everyone is telling me!”
“this is a confession song, right?”
he nodded.
“okay, so...try thinking of something that represents them, or how they make you feel. is being with them like listening to ocean waves, soothing and familiar?”
donghyuck stared at you for a moment, “you’re thinking of jeno, huh?”
you got out of your daze and sheepishly smiled, “yeah.”
“which reminds me, I should be heading back to him, but I don’t know where the living room is.”
-
“let her play,” jeno stated.
“no! no, it’s okay,” you smiled nervously, sending a warning glance at your boyfriend.
“do you know how to play?” asked chenle.
“not really,” you lied.
“she’s being modest, she beats me at this game all the time,” jeno commented.
“oh?” asked jisung, sending a look to chenle.
“just give it a try,” chenle smiled.
you hesitantly took the controller, sending a glare towards your boyfriend who only melted your heart with his eye smile.
the two youngest watched as your face changed, lips falling into a straight line as a fire of determination lit in your eyes.
“she beat the boss,” they both muttered.
-
you sat quietly next to renjun. he was quietly drawing in his sketchbook, you didn’t want to disturb him.
“so, do you like the avengers?” renjun asked.
you looked over at him, “um, I don’t like it.”
his face fell.
“I love it! it’s like one of the best movie series out there!” you exclaimed with a ‘duh‘ tone. and that was all you needed to say before the two of you geeked out. amidst your chat with renjun, you failed to notice that your boyfriend returned from the bathroom.
jeno slipped his hand in yours, “hello, I’d appreciate it if you didn’t completely steal my girlfriend away from me, thanks.”
-
“wow, this is really good,” you commented, tastebuds completely delighted with the food you were eating.
“did you cook this?” you asked, looking over at jaemin.
“yeah, but I feel it’s too...”
“tangy?”
“yes!”
you looked over at the herbs on the counter, “maybe add this one? I’ve used it before and it definitely helped.”
he listened to your piece of advise and added it in. after mixing it in, he brought up to his lips. you watched with a pounding heart, not really wanting to ruin your boyfriend’s friends’ dinner.
“that’s amazing!” he smiled, “would you mind tasting the other-”
“she would love to but she has a boyfriend she needs to keep occupied,” interrupted a pouting jeno.
“stop socializing with my friends. they’re already stealing you away from me and it’s your first visit,” he grumbled, dragging you to his bedroom.
-
“well?” jeno asked.
“she’s a good wingwoman,” haechan shrugged.
“she helped us win the game,” smiled jisung, chenle nodding in agreement.
“she’s a true intellectual,” approved renjun.
“she can help me with cooking competitions!” clapped jaemin.
request; Can I request an imagine with nct dream where they are all best friends with the reader? Being friends with them would literally be the best.
genre; fluff/crack?
summary; little snippets of things you do with nct dream while in quarantine
a/n; I love my friends, but they’re not nct dream
“social distancing?”
just as haechan finished his sentence, he was poked by a meterstick.
“yeah, so no touching!” jaemin frowned, continuing to pry haechan off of you with his meterstick.
“okay, okay!” haechan muttered, releasing you from the hug.
“everyone! hands out,” instructed jaemin.
everyone listened and hand sanitizer was squirted into each hand.
“okay everyone, do you know the plan?” you asked.
“toilet paper,” haechan and renjun announced.
“snacks,” chenle and jisung smiled.
“fruits and vegetables,” jeno and jaemin nodded.
“alright, let’s go!”
“are you spraying them with febreeze?” you asked, squinting at your screen.
“yes, they went outside to buy grocceries,” renjun explained, spraying their shoes and grabbing jisung and chenle’s phones with gloves.
“do you guys go through this every time you go out?” you laughed.
“are you not going through this every time you go out?” renjun asked, cleaning their phones with wipes.
“I mean, I spray and clean my phone,” you shrugged, “but not as carefully as you guys.”
“just trying to stay safe,” jeno smiled, putting jisung and chenle’s clothes into a bag.
“wait are you doing laundry?” you asked, “because I have some...”
jeno rolled his eyes, “sure, y/n just give to me through the screen, I believe in you.”
you chuckled and threw a shirt at your camera, “jen...it didn’t work!”
“guys, guys, guys, did you do the homework for math?” haechan questioned, pushing jisung and chenle out of the camera’s way and showing you the homework.
“why did you say guys if you were really just asking y.n?” muttered renjun.
“yes I did, hyuck.”
“can I-”
“no,” you frowned.
“but-”
“no.”
he pouted, “guess I’ll just look up the answers then.”
“y/n!” they all gasped.
you looked at the six different faces on your computer screen.
“why are you guys each using a different device?”
“because,” they all said.
you gave them a funny look, “okay...”
“we’re bored, y/n,” jaemin frowned.
“yeah...” jisung pouted.
“and that has to do with me because...”
“we’re tired of each other,” renjun sighed.
you snorted, “yeah, okay, very funny.”
“renjun’s tired of us,” haechan corrected.
“we’re bored, and we’re hungry,” jeno announced.
“guys, I turned off my phone for two days and suddenly everyone is like this?”
“this is the impact you have on the world,” chenle explained.
“you guys are so extra, I swear. open up your door, I went on a boba run.”
you hung, roling your eyes upon hearing the loud cheers of the boys.
“one text of ‘can you buy us food?’ would’ve sufficed, you know?” you sighed, as renjun sprayed you with febreeze.
“but why do that when we could bombard you with emojis and memes?” haechan asked.
“you can’t forget to top it off with a sad facetime call,” jaemin added.
“and it worked,” shrugged jisung, passing out the drinks to everyone.
❄️ a/n; I wanted a different gif for renjun,, but I couldn’t find it

renjun
acts like he doesn’t want to cuddle but how could he ever not want to cuddle with you?
::
you stared at him with big hopeful eyes.
he sighed, closing his laptop, “you’re so needy.”
“you’re lucky you’re cute,” he opened up his arms, “or else I would’ve continued working on-”
you cut him off by jumping on him and kissing him.
“less talking, more cuddling.”
jeno
he was about to text you to come over, but you beat him to it and texted him first.
::
once he got to your place, you immediately attacked him in a hug and a kiss.
“if I knew how much you missed me, I would’ve come over sooner,” he commented, carrying you to bed.
haechan
thought you were the cutest thing ever in the whole entire universe
::
“sure,” he grinned, his heart absolutely flooded with love at your ecstatic face.
when you jumped on him and kissed him, he felt his heart burst.
“you’re absolutely adorable,” he cooed, hugging you close.
jaemin
a tease because he enjoys making you flustered.
::
“you look like you want something,” he commented.
“I do.”
“what is it?”
you coughed, “um, well...”
“I want to cuddle,” you mumbled.
“what was that?” he asked, a smile tugging at his lips.
“I’d like to cuddle with you,” you said a little louder, face heating up more.
“you want to cuddle?” he asked, a full blown smile on his face.
you sheepishly nodded. it hasn’t been long since you guys started dating so you were hesitant to ask. and right when he agreed, you excitedly jumped on him, having enough courage to kiss him.
“will this always be the reward when I agree to cuddling?”
chenle
you were trying to subtly hint to him that you wanted to cuddle, but he was oblivious.
::
“here’s a blanket,” he smiled.
you furrowed your brows, “what?”
“you said you were cold, right?”
you rolled your eyes, “I don’t want a blanket dummy! I want to cuddle with you.”
it was like a lightbulb went off in his head, “oh, okay.”
shaking your head, you take the blanket from his grip and kiss him, “what am I going to do with you?”
jisung
a complete and utter babie.
::
“um, yeah,” he smiled, shyly scratching the back of his head.
you jumped on him, pushing him down. you then started pecking kisses all over his face. “why’re you so cute!”
his face was flushed red. he scrunched up his nose, “I’m not as cute as you.”
how about jaemin or jeno (I love both so you can decide!) comforting their s/o? depression's been kicking my butt lately I really need some soft sidjsksks hope you're healthy, don't forget to drink water and sleep well!
I’m drinking water, are you??
-
[1:27 am] “can I have this dance?”
you smiled, taking jeno’s hand.
“the sky’s pretty tonight,” you commented, head resting on jeno’s shoulder.
music softly played in the background as the two of you swayed on your balcony under the starry sky.
“not as beautiful as you.”
you shook your head at his comment, staring up into his eyes.
“what’re we going to do jeno?”
he cupped your face, “whatever we can baby.”
you leaned into his hand, “but-”
“together, y/n,” he kissed your forehead, bringing you in closer, “we’re in this together.”
“and as long as we have each other, we’ll figure this out.”
Heya, can I please request a fluffy cuddle session with Jeno? 😊 Thank you 💕
[3:36 am] “jeno?” you murmured, eyes adjusting to the darkness of your room.
you struggled to open your window, your limbs still weak from sleep.
“what are you doing here?” you asked as he climbed into your bedroom.
“I missed you,” he sleepily smiled.
“we just got off facetime,” you laughed, crawling under the covers next to him.
“you fell asleep on me,” he muttered, bringing you closer towards him.
“well, maybe you should make your voice less soothing,” you retorted, hands trailing up his shirt and wrapping around his waist.
“sounds like someone is jealous of my voice,” he chuckled.
you found it hard to keep your eyelids open, your comeback dying at the tip of your tongue. turns out that the hum of his voice and the rhythm of his heart were a great lullaby.
❄️ a/n; honestly you could be any position in the group (which is pronounced joo-el btw) but I just added in the bullet points to show what position I was imagining the reader to be in,, also you can imagine the dreamies as idols or not it’s up to you :))
-
mark
you’re the maknae of the group, known to have talent in every area (rapping, singing and dancing) so you don’t have a confirmed position
mark took a bite of his meal, his eyes wandering over to the tv.
“what’re we watching?” he asked, swallowing down his food.
“this new girl group, JIUL I think their name is?” jeno replied, looking over at jaemin for confirmation.
“yeah, it’s their debut today,” jaemin added, giving mark an excited smile.
mark nodded, waiting for the performance to start. his eyes scanned over the members of the group, eyes instantly focusing on you. he found it hard to look away, especially when you rapped.
he abandoned his food, eyes analyzing your movements whenever you were in view. he liked your style and how you presented yourself on stage. not to mention that your voice was smooth.
“she’s pretty good,” he commented, “what’s her name?”
“interested?” jaemin cheekily grinned.
“just a little,” mark shrugged, still waiting for your name.
renjun
you’re main vocalist
he was in denial that he loved your voice. a predebut video of you singing a cover had greatly promoted your group and that may or may not have been why renjun was impatiently waiting for your performance to start. now, he wasn’t in love with your voice (even though he wished you sang him to sleep), he was simply just curious to see if you sang like that live.
of course you did, sustaining a high note that beautifully harmonized with another member that made him forget that you were a rookie.
“she’s okay.”
jeno
you’re the main rapper
he was blown away by your passion. it was obvious how happy you were to be on stage. it showed through your dancing. it showed through your smile. it showed through the fire in your eyes.he smiled, able to relate to your joyful vibes.
he also thought you were a pretty good rapper.
“she’s spitting some bars though...”
haechan
you’re the lead dancer
it wasn’t hard to notice you. you were in the front a lot. you mostly sang the chorus parts. the power in your moves created a strong stage presence for donghyuck.
the dance break with another one of your members had his jaw dropping. the control you had over your body completely amazed him.
what blew his mind further was discovering that you had only been a trainee for two years. either you were a quick learner, or a hard worker. he wouldn’t be surprised if it was both.
“she’s not real.”
jaemin
you’re the leader
you didn’t have much lines and that already piqued jaemin’s interest. he had read that the song lyrics were based off of a poem you created. another surprise to jaemin was how you were positioned in the back, rarely in the spotlight.
he thought you were camera shy up until you sang a verse and winked at the camera. he didn’t know that he could feel attacked like that.
“so, she’s the leader?”
chenle
you’re the face of the group
“they look familiar,” chenle muttered to himself, stopping mid scroll on his instagram feed. a light bulb lit in his head, his brain registering that it was you, y/n from JIUL. he had briefly read a headline about you and how you were the first member to be revealed.
he clicked on the link, the video loading on his screen.
when the performance started, he realized just exactly why you were chosen for that role.
your face stood out from the rest of your members and it only added beauty to the grace of your moves and the soothing sound of your voice.
“I see why they call you angel,” he whispered breathlessly.
jisung
you’re the main dancer
much like donghyuck, he admired the way you danced. you were stiff for the first like ten seconds of the choreography, but eventually you loosened up.
and when you did, your moves had this languid, yet powerful and graceful nature to them that shook jisung to the core. he honestly could watch you all day.
