To @haechanblr​! Tis Me! I’m you’re Secret Santa! I HAVE EMERGED FROM THE DARK CAVE!!!! I do hope you enjoy my gift to you!

Jongin lifted the warm to his lips and took a sip moaning in delight at the flavorful punch - ponche, it was ponche. The snow was falling delicately outside the window while your home was being warmed by the heating system and the heat radiating from the pots on the stove - one steaming your tamales and the other still brewing the ponche. The oven was also working to bake the cookies you two have just cutout adding more warmth. 

“Think we’ll have a white Christmas this year?” you asked taking a seat beside him on the couch and looking out the window.

Jongin set the mug down on the table and stood up bringing you up with him humming the tune to ‘White Christmas’ waltzing around the living room with you laughing in his arms. He stopped next to the christmas tree lifting you and spinning you around while placing a kiss on your lips.

Sehun pressed play as soon as you came back with the last mugs of hot chocolate. Your families were scattered all over the living room waiting fo him to start the next Christmas movie. He leaned over to you slowly as to no disturb you nephew who was most certainly beginning to fall asleep beside him.

“I like this tradition,” he whispered. “Although I don’t think you should ever be setting foot in the kitchen while everyone else is cooking. I heard you somehow managed to burn water?”

You smacked his thigh, “They turned up the heat when I wasn’t looking. It’s not my fault.”

He chuckled softly kissing your temple before pulling you closer catching your mother’s eye who wiggled her eyebrows at him before tapping your dad who sent him a playful glare.

Kyungsoo was enamored by everything he had seen. Las posada you had told him so much about leading up to your trip to visit your family had surpassed his expectations and all the singing done by the little kids was enough to melt his heart on the spot. 

By the time you guys had gotten back to your childhood home the entire place smelled of tamales and pozole mixed with the sweet scent of the ponche. He would certainly have to ask your mother for the recipe to make this back in Seoul for you both. 

“I hope you two are hungry,” your mother said as she began putting out bowls of the red orange broth and plate with tamales on the table. “Cause we’re about to start feasting on all of this delicious food.”

Kyungsoo felt his stomach grumble as he looked at the food, had he really been this starved? You grabbed his hand rushing over to a set of chairs, shoving your older brother out of the way. He grumbled taking the seat to your left while Kyungsoo sat on your right. No sooner had you three sat down, was the rest of your family taking their places beginning to chatter as they ate.

“Is it good?” you asked looking at him.

He looked at you, eyes wide as he took a large bite, “I don’t think I’m gonna be leaving the table anytime soon.”

wannabe gothic at times but also humorously not

how do you determine what mood each project has?

by the characters within them! their perception of their surroundings and the events is largely going to contribute to the overall feel of the fic
