I have no idea where to start, no review of mine will give this book the justice it deserves. 5 out of 5 stars. Let's leave it at that.

This book could have been better, but overall I enjoyed it. AND CAN WE JUST TAKE A MINUTE TO APPRECIATE THAT COVER!! 😍

This is definitely a five star read. 

Muse of Nightmares tells the beautiful story of Lazlo and Sarai, as they face multiple challenges on their journey to happiness. It explores past traumas, loss, regret and guilt. One things I loved about Strange the Dreamer, is that even though it is a fantasy book, it still had so many humane elements. The characters were raw, and they had faults and regrets and insecurities. And it was perfect. This was even better. 

Muse of Nightmares broke my heart, then repaired it, then broke it again, repaired it, and then ripped it out of my chest. And then repaired it again for good measure. I've never felt so emotionally invested in a book before, I love the characters, I adore the authenticity of it and I'm obsessed with how real the characters feel. 

I JUST LOVE IT SO MUCH!

"Be glad of your human heart, Feyre. Pity those who don't feel anything at all.” 

So this was my first book for the 2019 Reading Rush, I read ACOTAR for the 'non-human main character' challenge. And I loved it so much! It was just as good as I remembered, and I'm overjoyed to be reunited with Feyre and Rhysand and just Prythian as a whole.

So for those of you who haven't read this series, ACOTAR follows Feyre, a human, as she transgresses and kills a faerie. As a result of her actions, Feyre is dragged to Prythian, the land of the faeries where she faces multitudes of challenges. 

Onto my feelings. I was not expecting this book to hurt like a bitch again. I found myself falling in love with almost all of the characters. Queen Mas has a special ability to allow her readers to share every emotion Feyre is feeling. This book destroyed my heart, and then stitched it back together again, multiple times. I absolutely adore Feyre and the world, and I definitely recommend!

QOTD: If you're participating in the Reading Rush, how is it going? I, unfortunately, had to start it 2 days late due to personal circumstances, this means I'll probably have to add on 2 more days at the end to ensure I get a full week. Other than that, it's going great! I haven't run out of motivation just yet which is always a good thing.

Wow, this is one of the best fantasy books I've read in a long time... 

I can't remember the last time I felt so immersed in a fantasy book. The writing was flawless, the world building as great and I absolutely adore Kelsea. Her character is raw, and she's has insecurities like every female, she just feels very real, the kind of real that is hard to find in modern fantasy books. I tend to skim over lengthy descriptions, but not with this book. I read every word in this book eagerly and I'm almost distraught that it's over. I cannot wait to buy book 2! Definantly recommend

The Wicked Ones follows Celine Montclaire, who goes to the Shadow Market to escape. Celine would go anywhere in the world to escape the suffering she experiences at the hands of her own family. However, she didn't expect to meet Valentine Morgenstern there, and she really didn't expect him to promise her the freedom she craves and the heart of the man she secretly loves. This isn't without a cost, of course, and Valentine requires one serious condition—because, after all, nothing at the Shadow Market comes for free.

This story is essential for fans of The Mortal Instrument series. We learn more about Celine and the manipulative Valentine. I found this extremely interesting, it is intriguing reading how persuasive Valentine can be, if I hadn't read The Mortal Instruments, I would've actually believed Valentine myself. Of course, Jem or Brother Zachariah features in this story. He pursues his search for the lost Herondale. Brother Zachariah is struggling with his identity, he's losing what makes him human, what makes him Jem. He finds himself colder, more like a silent brother. I won't lie, it was quite sad reading about Jem like this, you find yourself feeling very sympathetic towards his character and towards Tessa as well.
