R E A L T A L K 🗣 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . . Let’s talk backgrounds. It’s no secret. If you scroll through Pinterest or IG for your hair goal pics, the industry is completely changing how work is displayed. First, you watermarked EVERYTHING, because it’s your work and why TF should you not be giving yourself credit? Fast forward 5 years, you rarely see work watermarked because as a stylist you’re doing other things to make you STAND OUT from the rest 🙌🏼🔥. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . . Today, a clean background is where it’s at. 🙌🏼 HOLLA🙌🏼 Thanks to my girl @the_hair_doctor Gina Bianca, I’ve devoted the past 6 weeks into revamping my IG. Consistency is 🔑 in anything you do, consultation, formulation, application, etc. Your social media should reflect the same. . . . So WHY the rant on backgrounds. Well, here’s why. 90% of the time I get a goal photo in, the hair is displayed on a solid or most of the time all WHITE background. No shadows, no background stations, etc. Now, the photos of the hair are always beautiful, and the hair itself is UNEDITED, however look 👀 at the difference an all white background makes on the same client, same color, same day, but diff background. The hair legit jumps out at you. . . So here’s my point to our amazing clients: ☝🏼 is someone following you around all day with a white backdrop so your hair reflects exactly the way it does in your after photos that we take? ✌🏼 Do you have a ring light and white walls in your bathroom?
