[ Ω ]—— Tinkerbull’s is buzzing with activity, and today it unfortunately suffers from a shortage in the staff for various reasons. It often happens with whatever big event that gets thrown in the city, but now the situation is so critical that Shouichi has been asked to double the service as both cook and waiter. He eagerly accepted the task, willing to help out the best he can as he always did, even if it means he might be late home tonight.

      Armed with pen and paper, he dusts his apron off and approaches the table where a gloomy looking man has been waiting for minutes since he walked in. He counters the atmosphere with a bright smile, starting to speak in a manner close to a machine gun.

      “Sorry for the wait! We’re in a bit of a pickle today! Welcome to the official veggie heaven of Hive City! Have you looked at our menu? What would you like to order?”

⦁ ☌ ⦁ A good time had passed since he had stepped outside that room. As inadequate as the explanation was, the person on the screen explained enough for Alain to know he wasn’t in the human world any longer. At least that’s what he gathered. Even then, questions circled through his head. Mingling with the thoughts he had since before his abrupt arrival, left him with a feeling of unease;

---Where am I? What is a social experiment? What is this feeling? 

Why am I feeling like this? What am I supposed to do? ---

Mixed thoughts Yet even more so than that, for the past few hours --grumble grumble-- like so, his stomach would not stop grumbling. It was as if it was trying to tell him something, though he had no idea what. What is this?

Increasingly the grumbling bothered him, scrunching his face and rubbing his temples, he walked through the crowded street-- until his foot caught on to something, causing him to collide into someone before him.

Rui was biting his nails...which was a bad sign, as anyone who knew him would also be aware. Now that X was "awake", he felt significantly calmer, but a whole different problem was being presented now.

What was he supposed to do? Maybe once he had access to the internet he'd feel better, but it was all X could manage just to keep its master from panicking. The only other thing that calmed him down was the sound of someone singing happily and humming nearby, just around the corner actually--

Wait. That voice. It couldn't be.

"Hajime?" he whispered, eyes widening. It was her. It really was her! He wasn't alone here--well, he and X weren't alone here at least. A hesitant step forward, and then another, and then all at once he rushed at her, calling out, relief shaking his usually composed demeanor.

"H-Hajime!"
