A sigh leaves your lips as you stare out the window, a blank look on your face. The past month had been absolute hell for some reason and you had no idea why. You were a good person. You never understood why shit things happened to good people. Your friend always tells you, “It’ll get better! You know sometimes you have to walk through hell before you rest in paradise.” Well you were pretty damn sure you’ve been through enough hell! Where was your paradise?!
You wanted to hit something so bad but you knew that if your boyfriend heard you had broken your hand because you punched the wall he’d be anything less than thrilled.
Speaking of my boyfriend, he should be home by now. You think, looking at the clock.
You sigh again and stand up, heading to the kitchen.
“Might as well start supper.” You say to yourself.
Just as you begin to set ingredients out for Hakeui’s favorite food, the door opens and Hakeui’s voice drifts in from the door.
“Baby? I’m home.”
“Welcome home!” I call weakly.
“Put the ingredients up, grab two plates and two pairs of chopsticks and come on into the living room, I got your favorite take out.” Hakeui calls.
You sluggishly put all the ingredients back up, grab two plates, and two pairs of chopsticks then make your way into the living and your amazing boyfriend.
What’d I do to deserve him? He’s the one thing good in my life, how long’ll it take before I fuck that up too? You think.
“Hey!” Hakeui yells, causing you to jump and look up at him.
“What?” You ask.
Hakeui smiles, walks over to you, takes your hands and says,
“I love you. Also get out of that pretty head of yours. You’re having a bad month and I know you’re thinking negatively. So get out of your head, get over here, sit on my lap, let me feed you your favorite food and let’s watch some bullshit Rom Com and criticize it for all it’s worth.”
You bite back a smile and Hakeui growls,
“Hey... Don’t you hold back that beautiful smile. Let me see the thing that lights up my life. C’mon.” Hakeui slides his hands down to your sides and pokes at them. “Give me that perfect smile.”
His pokes finally get to you and a small smile lights up your face. It doesn’t reach your eyes completely but Hakeui is still floored by the beauty of your smile.
“At’a girl.” He says kissing your forehead.
He pulls you over to the coffee table and pulls you down on his lap. He turns on some Rom Com and begins opening food containers. While he’s doing that you find yourself snuggling into him and realizing just how much of a savior he is to you. Since you got together Hakeui has been there, by your side everyday. As soon as your brain tries to take you to that deeper, darker place, he lights you up like a flood light. Thing is, he’s been there even more recently. He has taken over doing a lot of the chores when you feel like you’re about to implode.
He has been trying really hard lately to get you to smile too. From breakfast in bed to little notes here and there reminding you to do things or telling stupid jokes, he’s been trying to cheer you up and no matter how much your brain tries to drown you, he pulls you right back to the surface before the water can fill your lungs.
You look up at the perfect man whose lap you are perched on and say,
“Thank you.”
Hakeui looks down at you, chopsticks holding a piece of chicken 3 inches from your face.
“For what?” He asks, placing the chopsticks in your mouth and feeding you the piece of chicken.
You swallow the food before saying,
“For being you. You have done so much lately while I have been stuck in my head.”
Hakeui smiles and says,
“Well of course. I gotta make sure my sweet angel is clean even when she is having a problem. Tell you what, there is this new dog cafe that just opened up. I don’t have to work tomorrow so what’s going to happen is, we’re gonna get up, get dressed and go out all day. We’ll start the day at the puppy cafe and then go to every other kind of cafe afterwards, yeah?”
You can’t help but smile at the perfect human being in front of you.
“That’d be great.” You say, tears clouding your vision. “Damn it! I don’t want to cry.” You say, wiping at your eyes.
Hakeui pulls you into his chest and says,
“Cry. You need to. This is your body telling you that it’s servers are overloaded and need to be fixed. Let it all go, Angel.”
Once the dam breaks the dears start pouring. You cry into the man you love’s arms, sob about how much the past month has sucked and Hakeui just holds you, telling you about all the fun things he’s gonna take you to do to get your mind off of it.
When you finally calm down, Hakeui pecks your lips and says,
“You are so strong. I’m not quite sure what all’s been going on but you are the strongest person I have ever met, and I admire that. If it was me going through what you were I would have broken a long time ago, but you? You’re amazing. I know it sucks right now but just like a Phoenix rises from its ashes, you will too and let me tell you, you’re gonna set the whole damn world alight. And I am gonna be one proud mother fucker standing beside you.”

though sinbad is a fashionista, wearing expensive jewelry and armani suits, he also has two other sides to him. the boy next door side who like to wear white tees and tanks, denim jeans and comfy sneakers. his last side would consist of him wearing the tackiest clothing and crocs, say to check the mail (totally inspired by this oikawa drawing by yaboykeiji it’s golden). there is no doubt in my mind that pisti would dress like a flower child, no one can tell me otherwise. so many flowers in her hair it would be like a garden. she wears lots of flowy pieces, one pieces or dresses, that have thin fabric and lace (?) cut outs. she also like those ‘kimonos’, especially if they have floral patterns and tassel trimming. she really hates wearing shoes so she cops out and wears sandals most of the year. during winter, she wears moccasins with fuzzy socks, even if it’s snowing and her feet can get wet, she just can’t do shoes. yamraiha’s style is a bit eccentric, lots of funky colors. her fav thing to wear are large short overalls with baggy sweaters underneath, the sweaters usually being covered in odd patterns or dumb pictures/quotes. she dresses a bit like ur typical fanfic art student, large hipster glasses to boot. BONUS: she loves the online store inu inu. [x] [x] [x] [x]
hakuryuu is interesting, because I see him as someone who really went through phases of fashion. as a child, he dressed like every other kid, though his clothes were more expensive due to his family’s status. as he grew older, his mom made him wear more ‘formal clothing’ like polo shirts and khakis. he eventually rebelled and went through the emo/scene phase and he regrets it so much he is incredibly embarrassed by it, please don’t bring it up. currently, his choice of clothing is rather dark in color, but simple. plain cardigans with fitted jeans, maybe with a button up shirt he leaves open. he usually wears regular keds or something similar to them on his feet, but he doesn’t care, he’s not much of a shoe person. he looks like those’aesthetic’ bloggers basically. judal is currently trying to get him into wearing leather, and he’s mildly interested. hakuei would totally dress like a gyaru. i know there are tons of subgroups of gyaru, but i see her as dressing and doing her makeup similarly to kamada risa. simple, chic, and somewhat cute is how i’d describe her style. i could also see her as being a jeans a tee shirt kind of gal, though her jeans would either be super skinny or very distressed. she would hardly wear heels, only wearing them for special occasions, such as events for her job or family gatherings. she knows how to walk in them but would rather wear flat shoes like actual flats or converse. i could also see her rocking the sporty look, long sleeved tee, running shorts, and nike roshe runs really suit her. i just have a lot of opinions on how hakuei would dress i could go on for days. judal would dress like izaya from durarara, lots of black and hoodies. his pants would either be skin tight, or he’d wear joggers, ratty converse/vans on his feet. i’d like to think he’d have a lot of piercings, multiple hoops adorning his ears, a tongue piercing, and a belly ring. [x] [x]
i see dunya dressing in heavy knits and furs, like cable knit sweaters and fuzzy earmuffs. she’d have a light color palette, wearings pastels and light colored neutrals. she’d actually dress a bit like a mori girl, with that description if i’m being honest with myself. [x] [x] [x]
i had so much fun doing this! i never really thought about how they’d dress in modern!au, but suddenly all these ideas poured out, especially for haukei oh my god i can talk about hakuei all day. thank u anon ;u;
