I witnessed a man with a camera speaking with Doron regarding the graffiti on the wall. "The preacher" approached them, made some gestures towards the wall. The camera man and Doron went inside Hakim through the side door. A few minutes later, "the preacher" went into the building through the main entrance. About five minutes later, he left and walked south on Vaughan.
4:26 PM
"The preacher" came around the corner with a Dollarama bag & dumped the items on the sidewalk. He proceeded to start cleaning the graffiti. Whatever he was doing was not working. He went into Hakim several times, as well down towards Bathurst where he came back with sandpaper as you can hear him scrubbing the wall all the way up on our balcony. While he was cleaning, three employees (one of them Doron) would keep coming out to see if he was still there cleaning, or to check the building if he was not there. They seemed nervous.
5:39 PM
My husband was coming back from Loblaws & decided to walk past the building to film him cleaning (at this point, we thought getting some footage of him covering up the evidence might help the police). At this time, he admitted several times to knowing he was going to be charged and that if he cleaned it up, they could not charge him. My husband managed to get it on tape, click to watch video.

Was still scrubbing the building and we watched him go into Hakim several times during.
8:30 PM
He did his usual yelling and "preaching" and shortly packed up for the night.

A clip from a recording we took of "the preacher". In it is when he addressed the graffiti on the wall of Hakim Optical.
While we were standing there, he came back down the street and again, I told my husband to start taping. This time, he got right in our faces - to the point that my husband had to warn him that he's in his space. I pulled out my phone in case I had to call the police.
Since we know he hates when people stand on the corner (like he owns it and really, the irony), we decided to stand on the corner. It was a beautiful day, why not!
After his confrontation earlier, I saw him coming so I told my husband to document it. He REALLY hates his video or picture being taken so I’m wondering what the backstory is…

After seeing the young guy taping him last night, my husband stood on the corner to document the graffiti on Hakim Optical. This is what happened...
Our findings from speaking to local businesses
Communication is everything!
From speaking to local businesses around this corner, here is what we've found:
Hakim Optical
He used to go in and eat lunch. He would scare off customers from the store or from even going into the store. When we first met with the store manager, we urged him to not allow him to do this as it only gave him more power to do what he wants. He would run into this store when he would see the cops coming! From that day, they do not let him in the store and sometimes they come out and tell him to be quiet. They have also called the police on him as well.
"The preacher" has just recently vandalized the Hakim Optical, we watched him do it. We have taken pictures and video to document. At the end of the day, this store has the MOST power to get him off the corner, unfortunately they are too passive-aggressive.
Starbucks
A few months back after I called the police, he took off and tried to stand in front of this location at St. Clair W & Bathurst. This did not last long as Starbucks has banned him.
Shoppers Drug Mart
I recently spoke to the beauty counter cashier about "the preacher" and found out some interesting stuff. He's banned from their store for assaulting an employee. They get customers in there all the time complaining about him, asking if they could call the police. A few customers have said they would rather go to another Shoppers location just to avoid this guy. They are scared to even walk past him.
As well, a young teenager girl came in crying her eyes out - telling her that because she was wearing leggings, she was basically a slut. She confessed to the cashier that as someone who suffered abuse as a child, she was deeply upset.
