I’m not skilled enough to be able to do any drawing so instead I wrote a letter for Sannan. I still wanted it to look pretty like a valentine though, so this what I ended up with. Just in case it’s hard to read in the picture, I’m including the full text of the letter below.
As you read this letter, I hope that you are having a good day, though perhaps wishing for you to have a good evening may be more appropriate given the schedule you are likely to keep.
I realize that on Valentine’s Day it is customary for women to give chocolate to men that they have feelings for, but I didn’t know what sort of chocolates (if any) you would enjoy. Instead I hope that this letter will be a suitable substitute for them.
Above all the other Shinsengumi you are the person who has most intensely caught my interest and attention. Since the beginning I have found the strength of your devotion to the Shinsengumi admirable, and I particularly respect your efforts at caring for the Rasetsu under your command, as I’m sure it’s not an easy task. I have heard that there are some people who perceive you as being intimidating or scary but I think you seem to be a very kind and gentle person, whose concern for others extends to all who are around you. You are also very intelligent, which is probably your most attractive quality, though you are also quite handsome as well.
If I have managed to gain your favor and affection in return I would appreciate getting to know you better and learning more about you. Perhaps you could begin by letting me know what sort of chocolate or other treat you enjoy so that I could have it for you when we meet? If you wanted it even blood would be all right, …I think.
