Tried to stick to canon implied heights the best I could, but if anyone has any counterpoints for any of these I would love to hear them, several of these guys never get any sort of physical description at all </3
I realized I never posted the purr hcs here so I have to remedy that
Failing badly at not thinking abt necrontyr purring. It will never be canon even to me but it would be so cute... esp if certain characteristics of the purrs carried over into their machine-relaxing-sounds...
Specifically I was thinking about Zahndrekh having a very low and quiet purr, to contrast both his speaking voice & the idea of Obyron having a very loud, rumbling purr that sounds almost like distant thunder. Though I think it actually matches his speaking voice well, both of which he'd deliberately soften, as that is just more so his nature. Soft spoken, even if he naturally has a strong voice, and as far as purring would go, probably a single digit number of ppl have ever even heard it, Zahndrekh included, who probably purrs more easily than Obyron, but still somewhat rarely
(Imagery: Zahndrekh falling asleep w his head pressed to Obyron's chest to listen to his purr n Obyron resting a hand on Zahndrekh's back to better feel his bc he can't hear it over his own...)
Imotekh would probably have a very quiet, raggedy purr, deep n low but kinda janky, yk? And likely hasn't been heard since he was a child </3 unless..?
Trazyn's would probably be similar to Zahndrekh's in smoothness, though louder and with a slight trill/whistle on the exhale. Also probably the easiest to make purr, as well as most likely to purr to self calm...
Orikan's purr wouldn't be low or loud but still sound more like a growl than anything. Most consistent purr, and maybe not as hard to get to purr as could be expected (but about as rare as Obyron's all the same)
(Imagery: Orikan getting really hurt and Trazyn finding him and purring to calm him while they wait for help to arrive...)
Quite fittingly, Szarekh would have a very very quiet, resonant purr, more easily felt than heard, but so deep and rich, it would completely vibrate through him
Oltyx would probably have a janky purr that has a squeaky trill on the exhale sometimes that he’s Deeply embarrassed about. Purrs rarely but surprisingly quick to purr under the right circumstances...
Yenekh strikes me as having a very light, high pitched purr. Not squeaky at all, kind of like a cheetah purr. Soft but warm, mostly smooth but w a little texture
I love the comments on Djoseras' Averageness so he would get Generic Purr, tho maybe a little quieter n smoother than like, stock sound effects. A very calming, easy purr. Never purrs though. Same boat as Imotekh </3
Zultanekh's is probably somewhere between Obyron n Szarekh, medium pitch, kinda loud but pleasant <3 a happy sound, even if it might keep Djoseras up if they fell asleep together lol
Anrakyr's would probably be smooth and low but a little janky. Might sound more like a quiet motor that hitches sometimes. Part of team Never Purrs 😔

I did have one for Yenekh but I can't remember it atm </3 n I never came up w a nickname for Szarekh in the first place, I just refer to him as The King. I guess that could be his tag but I need a worse one
