i really like the idea of [non-powered] hal and barry meeting and falling in love sometime during the late 1900s — like, in the ‘50s or ‘60s. 

picture bartholomew allen, a dedicated forensic scientist with dork-ish charms and an endearingly gentle grin on his face; who wears bowties and suspenders over dress shirts tucked into high waisted pants; who works hard to solve cases way past home time, coming home near midnight to his quiet, quaint apartment only to eat dinner and listen to some of his mom’s old vinyls in order to help him fall asleep, which at times causes him to wake up a tad bit too late, and because he can’t go to work with a bedhead, it becomes one of his many reasons for being ever so tardy.

and harold jordan, the ace test pilot of ferris aircraft, with sharp features and an amorous smirk to match; who dons aviator sunglasses that hide the tiniest hints of heartbreak radiating from a pair of warm brown orbs, and a bomber jacket, far too old and worn to be his own; who finds thrill in treating every test flight as if it’s his last (almost like he wants it to be); who trudges over the mess of his apartment every night, lighting up a cigarette, bringing it to his mouth and leaning against the kitchen counter as he absently tunes into whatever new songs the stones or beatles play on the radio.

they meet at the supermarket one day, when a hungover hal — tiredly browsing for his weekly groceries — is knocked onto the ground by a bumbling barry, who’d kindly offered a colleague to run some food errands during their break. he’s already running late, and this rather fine man is staring him down (although he’s technically looking up) with a bit too much contempt for his liking. 

chaos, not to mention the love story of the decade, ensues.

Hiii ! Since I probably won’t have time to post day 1 or 2 on time. Here’s a Sum up of last year. And yes I’m still aiming ofr a mini comic this year but on a different AU //winks winks. Environment AU : The Green Lantern Corps (founded by Alan Scott) have Charity shop, Charity trails event, you can donate stuff and they will sell them, the money would go to fresh water distribution or planting trees. Mostly run Volunteer, such as Kyle (Art student Part timer), Hal is the manager of this branch. The Flash delivery services (Founded by Jay Garrick) trade your time for coupons for food, transport ticket, clothing. They do mostly deliveries but also handle a smoll canteen, free for workers, to pay for others.

Day 2 : Oh hey Kyle found a smoll hurt lizard and they decided to take care of it for now. Hal kinda falls in love with it, and maybe they can keep it at the office ? Kyle is now very sorry because he doesn’t read mind and somebody wants to take care of the lizard. Hal is very disappointed.

Day 3 : “How do you use the water hoes ???” - “WAIT HAL THIS ONE IS BROK--” 

Day 4 : HUM HAL APOLOGIZE, Uh maybe you can take a change from Kyle ? But actually Barry is not that nerdy and slim and whoa this blond is actually pretty cute and maybe Hal invites him for dinner to apologize -

Day 5 : They actually share no interest but they get along amazingly well and maybe that was a date ?? - AND OH BARRY IS THE ONE WHO ADOPTED THE LIZARD. OHMYGOD - 

Day 6 : Star Lab happens. 6 month later when Barry wake up, Kyle inform him that Hal disappeared 5 month ago, last seen are Ferris Air. There was actually a Day 7 which I wasn’t fond of it since it actually linked this AU back to JL but then felt this AU can just stay modern and no capes. So, Let’s probably assume Hal decided to take a break from GL corps and was recruited for a 2 year mission of Wayne Orphanage Program and Daily Kent Freedom of Speech. Doing a documentary on setting up Orphanage, education system, follow up on adopted kid and non adopted into independant life.  He casually came back after two year. Barry would’ve slap him if Clark didn’t actually vouch for him and going on on how all the staff had to be checked and secret and checked because the whole mission needed to be clear and free of disturbance and wannabees.

AH YESS I’ve been excited to draw more fluff, more superhero nerdy bromance, more Green Lantern environmental and Flash delivery service AU, more fantasy AU with Centaurus Hal and Wererabbit Barry and hey introducing new AU : 

Priest Barry and Almost fallen angel Hal falling in love with that priest cuz he’s such a nerd about god but at the same time clever and critics about preaching and so open to the human world new antics and needs. Angel Hal totally wish he could talk to him, maybe touch him, maybe hug him, wish for Barry to actually be able to see him, to sense him... And he’s spending so much time on earth and that’s not good- and he’s losing feathers and oh so dramatic can sometimes barely fly anymore.

after writing that 60s!halbarry prompt, it suddenly occurred to me how Amazing iris would look in the 60s?

and now i’m seeing iris west, barry’s best(est) friend from childhood, an aspiring journalist who sees right through his bullshit and isn’t afraid to point that out. an absolute badass in bardot-esque updos and floral dresses. she’s the sister that barry never had.

+ itty bitty wallace west, barry’s sweet little nephew (iris adopts wally and barry is basically family), full-time sugar-fueled demon with angel wings, and part-time baby cupid, because even his ‘kinda boring’ uncle barry needs someone to be “"gross”“ with.

Halbarry week day 6 : Anxious & Snap out of it

Star lab happen and I wasn’t here to protect him. 6 month later, Kyle inform Barry that Hal has vanished and was last seen at Ferris Air test ground. Day 5 - Day 7

Halbarry week day 5 : Firsts & Come with me. No homo, but I’d date you because your cute and IT TURNS OUT YOU’RE THE ONE WHO ADOPTED THE SMOLL LIZARD WHY DIDN’T KYLE TELL ME ?? Day 4 - Day 6 petition to give Barry Allen a cute lizard and give him a great stupid name like Vroom or Harold or Wallace.
