Beacon Hills had been quiet for a few months but Liam hadn't relaxed fully. Scott had warned the pack that sometimes the worst storm followed a period of perfect calm and they should be cautious. Stiles called it being hyper aware. Liam just wanted to stay safe and not be attacked by anything again.
He'd taken to running in the reserve again a few weeks ago. At first he'd stayed away after Garrett had attacked and nearly killed him but he was dead now and slowly Liam had felt safe. He loved the reserve and the peaceful feeling he had out there. He could also run faster and not worry that someone would notice and somehow discover what he was now. Pausing to take a breather he frowned catching a scent he hadn't noticed before. For ages they'd been the only pack in the town but he couldn't identify this scent. Following it slowly he hid behind a fallen tree trunk and saw the man. He looked huge but Liam had a feeling he wasn't a threat. Scott had told him how some wolves didn't have a pack and how life for them could be very frightening. Maybe the nemeton had drawn this wolf to the town. Staying behind the trunk Liam watched him curiously.
