first, there’s Nova, she’s almost 11. she’s a long-haired blue Russian, literally a gorgeous lil anxious queen. she’s also the most talkative cat I’ve ever EVER met

then Manny, he’s 10ish! he’s orange and white and has one brain cell that he only uses to beg for food and chew cardboard. he is a cat but we call him our first dog bc he plays fetch and his meow kinda sounds like a little bark

last of the cats is Eleanore (we call her Nell/Nelliebean/Nelliebelly/Nells Bells/Crooked Girl/The Sheriff/or Bent-Neck Lady) who I (think) is 4? she looks almost exactly like Nova but her fur is marbled. she also bites my ankles whenever I’m in the kitchen and is the only animal who favors my partner so obv we are enemies

Sapper is 5 and was kinda a covid puppy and is therefore unhealthily attached to me (feelings pretty mutual tbh) he’s mostly boxer with a bit of lab and has a v silly underbite and I’d literally die for him he’s my best guy. he’s scared of storms/wind/rain/fireworks/men in hats/baseball/etc and is also weird about walking on wet grass like he’s just the strangest little angel boy ever

finally, we have Ridley, a purebred mini dachshund that I got from a stranger I met at the dog park who didn’t want him anymore 😅 he’s very stinky and loud and chases the cats but he’s also pretty sweet sometimes I guess. also he got second place during a German-fest dachshund race and first place in the costume contest (he was a banana)

oh man so so much which is a really lovely thing to think about tbh. my partner, my friends, my five pets (which is too many pets btw 😂), ummmm theatre makes me really happy, playing dnd with the coolest people ever makes me happy, which I get to do often so hell yeah, writing makes me SOOO happy and I’m very grateful for this fandom for sparking the longest writing streak I’ve had in years!! honorable mention to going to ren faire, used bookstores, and thrifting cool coffee mugs 🤌

do you believe in soulmates?

I think that I do!! But like, not necessarily in a romantic way? ooooor at least I feel like the soulmate-type connection isn’t in itself inherently romantic, but it’s way easier to develop romantic feelings for someone you feel that bond with. does that make sense? I also fully believe that a person can have multiple soulmates, I have some very dear friends who are just like. literally a part of my soul in the same way that my partner is, ya know.
