i think the choice to give korse a genuine and good redemption arc where he actively tried to be better and actually changed and to give val a “redemption arc” that was just a feeble apology really portrayed the message of how it’s not about labels or where you’re from, it’s about the choices you make. val was a bad person, wearing a killjoy mask didn’t change that, nor did it immediately atone him for what he did. atonement comes in real, active change, and korse made his choices to show he was on that path, despite having been a s/c/a/r/e/c/r/o/w and having a body count that included the fab four. they committed the same crimes, but only one of them changed, and it wasn’t the one who called themselves a killjoy.

growth is realizing that wanda wasn’t evil and that her actions when we first met her character were the result of years of trauma, manipulation, and grooming. growth is realizing that wanda is a complex character and if we are to accept tony’s character development, we must accept wanda’s as well. growth is realizing that wanda is a strong woman who has always deserved better.
