Indeed he is! Half Burnt, basically the personification of my horrible experience in a dessert factory, but brought to the extreme.
He's not an Elsen anymore. He does not feel anxiety nor fear. He's no longer afraid of Enoch, he's fueled by rage and hate. He's only HALF burnt, so he maintains lucidity. Making him actually rather dangerous, since he got the same strength of a Pastel Burnt, but with enough sanity to be skilled in fights.
Enoch keeps him because in the end he's useful in the clean room, holding back other addicted Elsen from latching onto the pipes and eating the sugar, slowing production.
He doesn't eat it. He hates it. He smells of burnt sugar and smoke, he needs to live with the smell every day. Consuming even a grain of sugar would make him puke. And he KNOWS where it comes from. Like, you think I still eat the stuff I produced in that factory...? Ew no. He basically wants to eat Enoch. But he holds back. He will do it the day his director will try to kill him. And he promised him, he is no purifier so he WILL die. But he'll make it hurt, while he'll enjoy his last supper.
