Look, I understand that you all want to respresent different ethnicities. But you forget that Jem Carstairs is only half chinese. You forget Cordelia is only half persian.

I'm not saying to not give them representation. They deserve all the representation they get. I'm just saying that not acknowledging their british halves is also a kind of ignorance. You should represent them for their whole selves, not just the one side that you want to exploit so you look more welcoming to other races. Acknowledge their full ethnicities, not just half.

So don't fancast Jem as a full on Chinese boy. Don't draw Cordelia so dark-skinned she looks like a full-blown persian. If you want to, of course, you can do whatever the hell you want. But please just acknowledge that that isn't their full ethnicities. They aren't just chinese and persian.

It's chaharshanbe soori and I'm having another moment of feeling so proud to be Persian, but I'm also having a moment of recognition that I grew up half-Persian in America and didn't learn Farsi and I somehow still feel not Persian enough to be included. And I kind of feel like I'm the only one like this. 💔

Finished up a 28" Jewelers bronze half Persian chainmail chain.

And here is the result of my little break. Red aluminium and black rubber, half-persian 3-in-1 bracelet. The rubber’s all stretchy, so there’s no need for a lock. My hands are very foldable so I don’t tend to put locks on bracelets for me anyway, and this one would easily fit someone with bigger hands than me.

The rubber rings feel very different compared to the metal ones. So weeeeird.

I also wanted to mention, I do make things for people. My list of commissions is only two long at the moment!
