BEAST YEAST EP 11 SPOILERS KINDA?? Not entirely but just to be safe

So yk how Silent Salt sealed the Beasts away and not the Witches? I hc that it’s bc the Witches already became the First Cookies at this point-

Like lowkey i wanna write some angst of First Cream finding out that there are new virtues than the ones she baked and while she’s proud she’s also like “what happened…?” So she goes to see the Silver Tree (which she’d be unaware abt) and she talks to Silent Salt and he’s (understandably) fuming inside but tries being as cordial as possible. He thinks she abandoned him…

And then she just… apologizes. Apologizes that she couldn’t be there. Apologizes that she wasn’t as kind as a creator as she had wished to be. Apologizes that she was called a hero for something she didn’t do, yet Silent Salt was villainized for doing good.

To the both of them, the interaction is comforting. A mother finally reuniting with her son.

I’m projecting but the song SOSORRY! by ePiaeon is so me-core??? Like idk it fully encapsulates my experiences with moral OCD. Apologizing every time because you feel like you messed up, even when NO ONE said you did and in fact everyone thinks you did nothing wrong is such a damn mood, and the line “You’re sick of me complaining even more” really REALLY hits hard because my apologies make people mad at me MORE than the perceived fault (because nobody but me cared abt the mistake in the first place)-??

Okokok I have to yap abt smth (for context I just reblogged a bunch of moral OCD posts since it’s been eating me ALIVEEEEE recently 😭😭😭 not terrible but still)

(Also TW for in-depth discussion of OCD spirals under the cut ^^ this is also technically EAH analysis!!)

I relate to Cedar Wood from Ever After High so much because she reminds me so much of my experience with moral OCD. Her “blessing” to be physically unable to tell lies is kind of similar to my experience with scrupulosity making saying a lie something incredibly difficult and distressing (dw, I’ve gone through therapy/am going through therapy to help!!) and nigh impossible to do without spiraling. And her whole thing of being like “am I actually a kind person or is it just my curse and also is my desperation to be able to lie a signifier of my character” ALSO feels like spirals I’ve had because of my moral OCD because I feel awful for seeing myself as kind because “what if I’m not actually kind because it’s the OCD that makes me kind and also I’m so incredibly selfish for viewing myself as anything good” and such. She’s genuinely so sweet but she struggles with seeing herself as actually a good person, and I have friends who view me as kind yet I can’t accept that much. She just hits really really close to home yk?

TL;DR Cedar Wood EAH is a metaphor for moral OCD to me lol-
